Hey Ladyscorpio,
Please forgive me as it seems that I am always jumping in on the tail end of things. However, this one pulled on a couple of nerve endings.
Ya see I have a wife that has the body most women envy, a 14 year old Daughter and a 16 year old Son and trying to be the cool Dad and be the Father can sometimes be a challenge at times.
This thread hits my son on the nail head. I remember him… Baby boy… Summertime just wearing a diaper… FULL OF SHIT!!! HANGING VERY LOW!!! Me crying with laughter, he is a boy baby just change his nappy… Cut to today… “Put your pants up when in this house”! But still looking as if his pants are still FULL OF SHIT!!!
Now a cat in his thirties… Still a boy… Like it or not… Still thinks like a boy… Give him time… He will grow up… We are just a bit slower then the ladies.

Its' no law just common sense. If You knew Better YOU WOULD DO BETTER. I was taught always to dress well no Stacy Adams suits no gators. At 23 I'm on my job in all aspects. It starts with how I step out the door in the morning. This is me 80% of the time.

figured you avoid the question......

i ask a question about you and you go talking about states....:smh:

what are you doing better then me, you walking out in a suit every morning and me walking out in jeans/shorts/t/tennis shoes...

and no one's mad...

i find it amusing that people are programmed to think that you have to do certain things to succeed.

If You knew better You would do better. Knowing that it is a time and a place for everything. Being older I would think a person would know that You cannot wear jeans and sneakers 24 7 365.
I don't know You from a can of paint. I'm not in a race against You. I don't view you as an obstacle. What am I doing better than You? Just doing Me. That's enough!!!

I'm not program to dress a certain way to do well in life. I dress that way because I want to. Seems like Your uncomfortable in tailored suits, cuff links and silk ties.

No question avoided.

I try bruh... I know that almost all of his friends love to hang at this house and I'm so cool with that because I know what is up. The hard part is when some of his friends come to me with the issues they have at home and look to me for answers. But I do what I do...
Stay up Dawg!

Your fashion aesthetic is an order of magnitude more appropriate than that espoused by the proponents of the "Detroit Uniform," e.g. shiny purple suit, pink gators etc. However, it's still a little n*ggerish. What the various accoutrements that you've posted in this thread say to me is, young first-generation-matriculant "jitterbug."

wow a 40 year old white woman slinging nonsense in my direction. You don't even know me and You mad. How does it feel to be a bitter? Its' called youth and having choice. Something You know nothing of. think what u will Mrs. redux. Talking out your other end again I see. :smh:

Yah dudes actually in here arguing over this?

How you dress should be a combination of what you find comfortable and whats situationally appropriate..keyword should.

People are going to have different views on tastes and personal styles so thats pretty much a moot point.

For me, it's generally a polo style shirt and loose but not baggy jeans and some type of comfortable shoe or sneaker.

In my relaxed mode it may be some hoop shorts and t-shirt. I wear suits when it applies and if not that, a nice button up and some slacks.

I don't believe in age appropriate so much as I believe in what's situationally appropriate because that crosses age boundaries.

Now as for people my age (35) trying to dress like and run with young 20-somethings, do you but realize you will eventually be the odd man out. I've always believed in pull people up to where you are, never lower yourself to where they are.

dawg you've said nothing to me but your programmed.

"there's a time and a place for everything" shows it. someone already made the choices for you.

if it was only about how you prefer to dress, there would have been no rebuttal. yet like most on here who are sheep, you have to cast what was put into you onto others believing that's what it is. comments like this confirm that:

Some adults need to grow up. This is not 1992. Your ass is not young anymore. Kwame and them damn polka dots is dead so is Biggie

perfect example above

My Parents raised to be a gentleman and a young man of character.

again another example. what does that have to do with how you dress? most "parents" living right are going to teach that to their kids. whether your in a polo or button down hinders that. but you don't see it like that. why? programming....

even funnier, you said these two contradictions:

I'm not program to dress a certain way to do well in life. I dress that way because I want to

I was taught always to dress well no Stacy Adams suits no gators.

lol, programming:lol:

you sound like those same kats who believe in cosmic powered jewish zombies named jesus, lol, trying to justify their reason for believing when they don't even know why they believe:lol:

last but not least let me dissect this piece right here:

If You knew better You would do better.

that's a hypocritical statement to say the least. cause i could tell you the same.

if you knew better you wouldn't be working a job, but doing your own thing. real talk.

here since you've shared to us about what you do, and how important it is to dress, let me share what i do.

throw some jeans on a white t and float around charlotte and a small section of western NC to my stores to drop off a last minute order of phones and to see how everyone's doing. then i'm going to chill in one of my offices (total 19 in the U.S.) and finish my flowchart for plans for the up and coming months for expansion into south carolina, georgia, and tennessee. while i'm there i'm going to check with my stores in ohio to see how they're doing today.

and guess what i wore getting to this point? whatever i wanted. when i went to banks for loans i didn't go in wearing a suit matter a fact the first time i went in i was wearing shorts and a phat farms shirt. Wasn't my clothes that got me the loan it was my credit score, assets and plan. when i met with carrier representatives, i wasn't in a shirt and tie, or anything like that, i wore a polo some jeans, and some tennis shoes....

and that's why your so flawed with your thinking..

"if you knew better" you would know it'a not about you appealing to the masses...it's about the masses appealing to you. your trying to seek approval. people are trying to seek approval from me.

Yah dudes actually in here arguing over this?

How

c'mon y'all know me by now...

anyone who comes in with the "you must do this cause it is written as such and society dictates it" line is going to be shown how wrong they are..

Having a chat with my bredren who is 35yrs and wears a size 40 something to 50 something pants :hmm: and claims that its his style and he finds it comfy. Why are adult males still carrying on this trend? I mean he can fit a couple of Ladyscorpio's in his pants and a couple more in his shirts.:o yeah What is the limit people?
Also having a belt on does NOT make the pants any smaller :smh:

What about men wearing sandals?? I have just been made aware that apparently some think that its a no no.:dunno: Is this really the case?

Ladies when is the time for us to stop wearing the poom poom shorts, the skirts that might as well be non-existent?

When does one consider it time to "act" and "look" ones age?

Peace

To each his own when it comes to fashion and hair styles. But what I'm seeing today doesn't fall into any category other than a "stupid look that needs to be put to rest."

This sloppy unkept look needs to die off and take with it the white tees and Timbs. When I was growing up I didn't want to dress like the boy next door. I wanted to dress my way, have my own look. Today our youth seem to lack the ability of orignal thought. :hmm:

That's nice to see you sell phones.

I don't appeal to the masses. Half of the masses are mindless nuts. I am doing my own thing as well. I don't seek approval from people never have never will. I didn't want to jump off in my trust fund. Do You know what a trust fund is? No one make choices for me I do what I want not what I have to do.

yes, it's very nice thank you....

and yeah i know what a trust fund is...it's what my parents and grandparents left me..didn't do that bad either.

people...

here's a secret, next time, if you really want to impress women on here since your on sol talking about what you have, tell them you rescue puppies.

material stuff doesn't work on here. or else i would've posted (again) pics of the cars, the stores, my homes, etc.

smh @ newbies

The post is called dressing your age fella. No need to impress people on the internet. You must feel some kinda way about being shown up young fella.

your contradicting yourself again:lol::rolleyes:

have never will. I didn't want to jump off in my trust fund. Do You know what a trust fund is?

No need to impress people on the internet

I spent a damn car note on some eyes glasses. I think I gotta problem. I have no debt at all. My bank account is quite nice. My raining day fund is in check. My post grad school is paid for. My daily living expenses are taken care of. Do I still have a problem??? :smh: Is it wrong to like have nice things when You pay for them yourself? My trust fund I hear is amazing.

No need to impress people on the internet

:lol::lol::lol:

lol

go on 'head  you took this thread above and beyond just dressing....

the point you missed is the fact your letting your programmed mind cast those things someone put in your head on everyone else...your missing that..your too worried about "hey, i have a trust fund" lol. what you think your the only one who hasn't seen a few million? as far as this site goes there's several kats on here that see that i know for a fact... so trust your not impresing anyone... truth be told your doing what i "use" to do on here...

My uncle wears baggy clothes like hes young too... Hes 50 something lol... but I gotta give it to him cause he looks nice
