McConnell is in office until 2026 and he's like 80 years old... so he's not too too afraid of trump. He was more than happy to have him signing his bills and nominating judges of his liking so he could get them confirmed, but he's ok not being invited to Mar-a-lago.
I think the only thing that would scare him is losing his position as leader. That shit is his life. Will be interesting to see if trump starts pushing for someone else to run for leader, cause so far no other republican senators with any real chance has expressed any interest in running against him. Nixon was not put in jail even though it was proven he illegally broke into the Watergate Hotel and recorded people. The only difference was Republicans then were willing to remove him from office.
