They some hoes. I knew they would buckle. Settlement imminent….
I thought they would as well. It seems dominion also has secrets they don't want to see the light of day, much less be memorialized in a federal court transcript. It was inevitable. The publics right to the truth be damn.

 Like what???... The Wall Street Journal, another Murdoch owned rag is reporting that FOX is pushing the settlement side... not Dominion :dunno:

Exactly. faux noise tried to settle when Dominion first dropped the hammer. Dominion said, get the fuck outta here.
Dominion can't settle. That would be like admitting there was some truth in the ridiculous claims and their entire business is based on being irreproachable.

And Smartmatic is waiting with their 2.3 billy hammer. faux noise, come out to playyyy-yaaaaaah.

Fox News-Dominion live updates: Defamation trial begins today

The jury is set to consider whether Fox News should be held liable for publishing the false claim voting machines rigged the 2020 election.

What we're following

  • Dominion Voting Systems, a privately owned corporation that makes voting equipment, was the subject of conspiracy theories surrounding the 2020 presidential race as Donald Trump and his allies pushed the lie that the election, which he lost to Joe Biden, was stolen from him.
  • In 2021, the company filed a defamation lawsuit against Fox News and its parent company, Fox Corp., challenging a number of the claims about Dominion made by hosts and guests on Fox News and Fox Business and by host Lou Dobbs on social media, seeking $1.6 billion in damages.
  • The judge has already agreed with Dominion that the claims are false. Dominion must try to convince the jury that Fox acted with “actual malice” — knowing something was false or with reckless disregard for the truth — when it aired the conspiracy theories.
  • Fox News has argued that the case is about the “First Amendment protections of the media’s absolute right to cover the news.”

Damn, I wanted them to take Faux News to the woodshed guess they knew this was a fight they couldn't win :roflmao: Faux still has another billion dollar lawsuit to worry about and I'm betting them and Dominion shared notes already.

Dominion Voting Systems did in less than 20 years become the second largest voting system vendor in the world through numerous mergers acquisitions, and private equity buyouts. There are many other companies that had a head start, in this space yet were quickly eclipsed by DVS. There is little regulation of how the systems are built or programed as its all proprietary. The same is true for how its contracts are awarded and renewed. In light of that I just have a hunch that there could be a tidbit or two of information that the company would very much like to keep away from the public spotlight. It doesn't have to be related to the 2020 election or any other specific election. The only question is, are there some inconvenient facts that are significant enough that they'd take a hundred million or so less than they originally asked for to settle the Fox lawsuit.

The devil will be in the details..... will they admit on their brodcasts that they lied?

Nah, with so many people looking for evidence it would have come out long before now. The truth is, even though it was really looking good in their favor, you still don't know how the court would react on interpreting existing law and cases on libel. Even if fox had to pay the 1.6B they would still survive, but it was a matter of life or death for Dominion.

They got what they wanted. The truth is largely out. It's not going to change the mind of the dumb Trumpers, but I bet every news organization isn't going to try the same bullshit next year just because they think no one will try to sue them for it.

Not even a Billi!?!?

I'd be doing my opening statement on FB live in the judges chambers, during a spade game mid deal if Faux ain't shelling out 10 figures+

From what I understand Dominion can still file over other aspects so they may not be done with faux noise.

We'll have to wait and see but this seems like a slap on the wrist and faux lawyers are already spinning it as a win for the fair reporting of news. As if they would know what fair reporting was.
