Now&laters was 10cents .
A quarter water or juice was 25 cents.

Penny candy was 3 cents a piece,it used to be where they didn't count it they just dipped in there and scooped up a whole bunch or half

We had better snacks in the South. Yall eating that garbage.

Well not better snacks but better grocery stores for sure. Nowadays it's about even. Wegmans and Publix are great quality stores. You have to go to Winn Dixie or Piggly Wiggly for these old school snacks.

I used to love me some star crunch and the raspberry twinkies, those fruit turnovers, etc. Could run bball or ride my bike all day long and burn it all off.
The term food desert exist cause of places like the south.. the corner stores of nyc had 100s of selections of snacks.. he’ll just the freezer alone had various versions of icees and ice cream.. quarter waters probably had at least 5-6 flavors per store.. these shits were on every corner.. some 24 hrs.. nigs didn’t have to drive to a gas station just to eat Lmaoooo at gas stations being a source of food and products for the community smh

A world of wonder. Crystal Pepsi is ragged on but I liked it. The 80s and 90s were an expedition in weirdness

As a kid, the only one of those treats I was allowed to have was huggies. I honestly don't think I've ever had funyungs and now or laters are a trash candy that causes cavities. Never even heard of that little Debbie brownie.

I used to hate that my mom didn't let me or my siblings eat stuff like that as a kid. I look back on it now and don't feel like I missed a single thing of import.

Sidenote: who remembers when they tried this slick shit

They had the chalk to simulate smoke and the red colored tip :smh:

I don't think I've ever drank New Coke. In the 80s I was everywhere. Jeddah, Saudi Arabia was my stomping ground for a while and they are Pepsi lovers.

I loved movies so much I got a job at BLOCKBUSTER VIDEO.

Also in the video rental section of this weird store called Phar-Mor. It was like like a smaller version of Walmart...sold a little of everything.

It was funny when your classmate's parents or older siblings would fall through and check out some NC-17 video lol. I had the goods on a lot of people around town.
