Religion is just a hobby. Whatever floats the next person's boat. As long as they're not trying to fuck up my day to day with their hobbies I don't care what they believe.

Anybody with an even remote understanding of the world knows that Africans are less developed, and educated, than people of other continents that had the ability to develop. It only is a measure of how far one has progressed in formal scholastic training and Africans on average have the lowest number of postsecondary achievers of all continents. A kid who never stepped foot in college could be given every single book a particular major had , read every book and fully comprehend all the material. A person who takes the major and gets the degree might not fully comprehend all the classes they had to take.. My father (estranged though he was), was from the asshole of the south, yet he died owning 3 apartment buildings, several other rental properties, and a 20 plus acre compound where he lived.

Formal education (I have quite a bit) only REFINES and COMPLEMENTS what one brings to the table, ideally. Many of the Ph.D. candidates I met as a student were downright stupid. They paid people like me to do the hard stuff, like running stats or simple WRITING. whenever a major paper was due.
Africans may be largely illiterate and uneducated, but so were the Vikings and most if not all Indigenous peoples of what is now the Americas.
There is no causal association between intellect and education. What passes for education here in the states is largely indoctrination. This is why a doctor will give you medication or propose surgery for common ailments such as diabetes, as opposed to addressing nutrition. They generally practice (quite literally) what they have been taught. Medical schools in the U.S. don't historically focus much on nutrition.
As far as religion goes, theoretically, once one is exposed to the knowledge and evidence that the Earth revolves around the sun, and not the other way around (i.e. once one is educated), he/she has no need for an explanation of unknown phenomena, which is essentially the zygote from which fully formed religions evolve.
So, why do educated people still practice religion? Because, for example, the American public, largely uneducated AND stupid as they are, will NOT vote for a president who claims to be an atheist. They, like some people on this forum, seem to think altruism is nonexistent without the influence of religion.
This is the dogma that has kept most of us enslaved, and we don't even know it.
