Doctors : Intermittent fasting diets "no better" than standard diets for losing weight.

Eating less calories will not make you lose weight, if your hormones are off. Fasting helps regulate the root ie hormonal in balance. He is a Dr, so props to his experience. But he is taking a very complex issue and throwing it into 4 minutes. It's not "complete" and won't help most folks, as stated so simply.
Insulin resistance does not occur from not eating, it's more likely from intense "repetitive" signal information (hormones) from eating certain types of carbohydrates and poor proteins, consistently.
Excercise is great for the body, but that too will do very little to lose weight, if the hormones an base level nutrient intake are not taken care of FIRST. If it's about science and math, the effort to burn a single calorie, will never match daily intake, plus any additional stored excess fat.

Its not about losing weight....its about combating insulin resistance....fasting lowers insulin levels to allow for more insulin receptors to increase

I know I.F. works more so because I'm living proof and tried both. Be skeptical of info as opinions are aligned with pockets. Corporations will say anything to keep you eating and it's why 75% of this country is overweight. Notice how food is a reward at your job? Do you think they want to pay a pension or the govt wants to pay SS? They want you fucked up at the finish line and addicted to their drugs just to get back to normal. The fact people believe you need to eat three times a day while siting at a desk is mind boggling. That only works if you are doing hard labor everyday. Most Americans need to lower their calorie intake 500-1000 a day just to be normal, especially if you are not a frequent gym member

Studies come out all the fucking time that contradict each other. Over the years, I've read countless studies and have found you shouldn't rely on others to interpret them for you. Found out how they were done. It's crazy how bad some studies are conducted. 
I remember the study they did on fish oil without taken into consideration ratios.

IF worked for me, I lost 50lbs.
If something has been proven to work for thousands of people trying to get in shape/lose weight why would you even wanna say “it’s no better than any other diet”. Just say it’s another good way of losing weight/getting in shape. I’ve been doing the 16:8 IF for 5 weeks now and can say it does work
Hot beverages like tea is meant to be sipped slowly anyway, whomever gulps hot drinks is an idiot.
