Following their third consecutive second-round exit from the NBA playoffs, the Philadelphia 76ers have decided to part ways with head coach Doc Rivers, per ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski. Rivers coached the Sixers for three seasons, reaching the Eastern Conference semifinals each time. However, the Sixers failed to make it to a conference finals during his tenure and were eliminated by the Boston Celtics in a Game 7 blowout on Sunday.

With the dismissal of Rivers it sets up a huge offseason for a Sixers team that has failed to get over that hump of winning a championship. With James Harden potentially entering unrestricted free agency this summer, Philadelphia will have some significant choices to make as the team tries to make it further in the postseason next year.

Unfortunate. Cause none of his squad showed up game 7 and Tatum went clean the fuck off. I'm being honest... What adjustment were Doc gonna make to win that particular game??? Harden was nowhere to be found and honestly... Embiid did not rise to the moment to match Tatum.

Once Tatum hit a couple of threes you had to trap him or something.
You can't have one legged Embid trying to guard this dude on the perimeter and he is raining threes.
Whatever happened to having the big dude show and tell your guard to fight over the screens.

The 76er's aren't ever going to win a ring so they can fire him and hire someone else and it won't matter.

Should have never been the head coach. The motherfucker lives in the Bigen haircut capital of the world, and he could keep his wig straight.

Honestly the boston coach wasn't much better. He just had better players. The NBA is a players league and if the players don't show up, well, you lose.
Hardin has always been a fairweather ballhog. In the last few years he's tried to share but at crunch time he still goes to that tired-ass drive with his arms extended trying to get fouled. The refs told him years ago they weren't calling that shit anymore but he still goes there. Embid is a crybaby who disappears when shit gets tight. No heart. A bully who runs away when people punch back.

But at the end of the day boston players wanted that shit more and they came for it hard. Much as I hate boston in general and smart in particular they fought for it. Philly didn't.

BTW I think both Mark Jackson and Rivers both on the jeebus shit and that makes them easy to dump.

Let's not forget Joel Embiid and James Harden had 15 pts & 9 pts respectively, in a game 7 with a trip to the Eastern Conference finals on the line. You're not gonna win a chip with niggas built like that no matter who the coach is.

Hopefully Doc gets back to color commentary. He was really good at that. Let these weak ass players have it bruh.
