Nah man, the Knicks had no direction. They were laden with malcontent, frustration, and inner bickering between players and management, and were stuck following a broken system and a hapless leader in Phil Jackson. The Knicks haven't made the playoffs since 2013. Our coaching staff is not better than the Clippers'. Our front office isn't better. Our players aren't better either; especially without Melo. There is no upside to trading Austin to NY. Why trade your kid to a worse situation?
Because you job is to make your TEAM better. You made your sons life better by giving him a contact no one was going to give. Now go let go to the Knicks and get hollow stats that will allow him to get another payday
