Do you think The Lakers are better with Artest? or Were a better team with Ariza?

I can't disagree with you.
Ariza was a team defender as well as a one on one defender.
Artest is simply a one on one defender.
Ariza also put pressure on the other team when he ran the break or settle beyond the 3 point line.
Artest seems gunshy and his jumper is lame. He is bothering Durant but the kid is still scoring while Artest is not contributing any significant points.
The Lakers are looking really vulnerable. They need some heart and hustle. Fisher and Kobe have a lot of miles on them legs. Artest too.
If the Bobcats had another offensive threat besides Durant, they would be tied or up on the Lakers. Kobe is able to rest on Defense. He needs to. Damn, it's a little disappointing to see a legend starting to be a little less spectacular.
Kobe B. is not at his best. Those legs are tired. The Lakers won't repeat.

they were better with Ariza. Mainly because he was more suited to be a role player than Artest. Ron would rather be the focal point of the offense but on this team will not be able to do it. Ariza could blend in much better and blending is a key element to chemistry. In fact it's the most important element
Ariza's game resembles a young Kobe. LA will pay for that mistake.
