that is the point. it is in a way almost genetic. typically in any species the biggest and the strongest survive. homo sapiens are not wired any differently. if you want examples of why each gender acts the way that they do it is easily explained on any episode of wild kingdom.
on top of that it is pure fact that women tend to act on emotions way more than men do. emotions are driven by pure animal instinct. a taller man is APPEARS to be a mate that can provide safety, security (two different things) and resources that a smaller specimen MAY not be able to provide.
we are still animals that have primal instict. some of us more so than others.
but the rules of survival now are different than thousands of years ago.
yea when we needed to hunt being short or unathletic would no doubt hinder your ability to provide and subsequently get a mate. but now? i mean survival is about how much money you pull in and your intelligence nowadays.

True, BUT, those feelings, instincts, emotions are soooo hard wired into our brains, that the few generations of survival you speak of mean NOTHING when you're comparing them to a few hundred thousand years (minimum) of evolution. On a primal level, our attraction and mating is very similar to other animals'. Women are attracted to larger men, for the reasons the brotha said. Men are attracted to a female he perceives as attractive. The more attractive you are to the other gender, the more you'll have sex. The more sex, the more babies are produced. Nature set up damn near everything to perpetuate the species. Our attraction is designed for us to have sex more. Plain and simple.
