Do the military get paid well?

Having served in 2 branches of the military, I can say that the lower ranks are highly compensated but the higher you go in rank and responsibility the more you lose in comparable civilian pay. Back when I first got in an E-1 cook was making enough to live a great, independent life with a new car and money to spend on all the shit young people like. That same job is comparable to flipping burgers at McDonalds where I've never known a person that did that job living independently. On the flip side back in the day the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs was making less than 200k per year with the same (if not more) responsibility as the CEO of GM who was pulling down millions.
TODAY, I’m all for young brothas going to the military if their options out here are weak. My mindset has evolved as I have grown up and seeing how challenging it is for some people to make a living.
Plus, the benefits are undeniable, especially if you got a family.
On the flip side, you hope not to have to deal with combat, but then again, that’s what you sign up for.

If I can go back in time my ass would have went to the military. Didn't have anyone to teach me about the true benefits.

A chick i used to date was served in the Airforce. Finally got an entry-level govt gig, in Homeland security for like 40k, had to move to Atlanta. Ina year she finished her master's degree on the military dime and got a promotion to another department but had to relocate to MD/VA area but got a raise to like 75-80k.
She got a few more promotions and is making over 140k and relocated to North Texas. Veterans preference helped with alot of those jobs.

I used to, but in 2025, I don’t want to hear it. I know way too many people eating well of off service in the military. Sending their kids to school with all expenses paid PLUS a stipend. VA housing benefits and medial insurances.
my pops served in the army, but he didn’t know about the benefits until he was in his 50s. It’s the story of hundreds (maybe thousands) of black vets (pre-desert storm vets) that didn’t know how to apply for these assistances. And many still don’t know.
I have applied for many benefits and nothing. It is still hard to survive in a white man's world if you are black. Ask the so called jews did they have to fight for America or just go along with the Jonestown type of lying to create a white man's version of God.
To many of the kids have no idea they are being programmed to support a white reality or else suffer like the rest of the original humans. We have been supporting beast in human form for to long. NASA, CIA, etc. are cheif devils in keeping the whole truth out and supporting falsehood. King Leopold and Botha share what is really being able to make beast appear human in black destruction.
