DMX or PAC

I guess my REAL answer is BOTH.
There you go. Honestly the real answer is whoever you liked better...they were both greats. Tupac was my favorite rapper of all time because he was one of very few that could make me really feel some emotion. DMX could do that too but it was something about Pac. And all that shit about he was fake and always switching up his personality was just watching a man grow.

Imagine if we could've saw 2Pac live longer. There's no telling who he would have been. We saw DMX go further in life and he went out a drug addict.

It’s sad X is remembered that way
But Pac could be remembered as an emotional roller coaster trying prove a point that caused his own demise

100%

But we cannot rewrite history

It was well documented he was mercurial and it frustrated everyone close to him.

He could be very emotional and contradicting.

Like anyone his age and his background and under the pressures he was under

Tupac wasn't a saint we can talk about his faults too.

We need to give everyone involved that grace we give Pac.

No wrong answer with these two. Both were complex, skillful lyricist that could illicit a range of emotions from their songs and were often full of contradictions. Many of their joints are timeless and are still in rotation. DMX's "Party Up" is played at almost every sporting event while honkies are dislocating hips and blowing out ACL's, trying to dances to his shit. Bottom line is that both these brothers left us with catalogs of music that will stand the test of time. Hell, both of them managed to make 2 classic soul exposing songs during their "fuck everyone" phase that still has tough guys tearing up today.

Friendly debate I was having with some of my brothers
I said X
They was like man Pac influenced so many people, to this day people got Pac stories
His music is timeless
And I agree COMPLETELY as far as music goes, imo Pac the GOAT
But X had that hunger , that intensity, that grit
You can’t emulate X , demons and all, who else got a crowd barking like a dog then turn around have em crying from a prayer?
Yeah Pac had people screaming thug life
But nobody was fearing Pac
X was robbing people with a dog, on beats you had to bring your best with X
Just my opinion

Who is your personal favorite between the 2?
how do you think tupac became tupac without those things????

One of my brothers said this “Pac was cool but he was manufactured, he was a revolutionary,a poet, etc thug life wasn’t really him”
I would say Pac was more of a renaissance man* then a revolutionary and thug life is what killed him. Thats not something to list as a positive.

*Renaissance man. An outstandingly versatile, well-rounded person. The expression alludes to such Renaissance figures as Leonardo da Vinci , who performed brilliantly in many different fields.
