I'm not someone that cares excessively about use of ******, but in this movie it helps to illustrate my point of tarantino's intent and the fact that he knew better than to line step with jews but he had no problem doing a film that is offensive to many blacks.

The idea of a spaghetti western set in a slave plantation, should be offensive to every black american.

whatever his reason for not using jewish slurs, let me just ask you this: can one make an even remotely honest movie about slavery without using the word, whether it is by black characters or otherwise?

and honestly i had to look up spaghetti western to make sure i had a full grasp of what it was, because i didn't see why that was a sore spot either. i looked it up, and i still don't.

Like I said before - I'm not someone that takes easy offence to the word in movies, and frankly I didn't find its use in Django to be excessive, unlike other QT flicks... the real problem with the movie is its premise and the idea that a tongue in cheek western could be set in a slave plantation.

The only way to get the spaghetti western implication is to have watched Sergio Leone's westerns... every one of them had overtly racist overtones against mexicans (as weak, helpless, lazy, dishonest, unattractive) and start / end with a white saviour. The movies had hyper violent (for the time) shoot outs and were unrealistic flights of fancy to the old west... in Django, tarantino just replaced the mexicans with nigg3rs.

Jews would never allow a similar movie to be set in Auschwitz or Treblinka... it is disrespectful.

During WW2 Germans kept inventing ways to kill and use jews... millions were killed in ovens, live dissections, beatings, medical experiments, forced labor, eaten alive by dogs, buried alive, electrocuted, drowned, etc... many jews were skinned and had their skin turned into lampshades... other bodies became fuel for factory furnaces, candles, dog food, and lord knows what else. Shit is so horrific even Schindler's list avoided it...

A fair comparison would be if tarantino remade the Dirty Dozen and set it in Krakow, or he re-did Rambo (Rambo being short for Rambinowitz) Rambo is out to rescue his wife and 3 children and inlaws from Aushwitz, or Die Hard 3 during the Polish or Danish pogroms.
