That Mister Cee “Throwback At Noon (A Tribute To Guru) from Monday has been holding us down pretty much the whole week, even through all the controversy surrounding Guru’s death. At the end of the day, nothing can touch the music that was made and will continue to live.

Last night, DJ Premier also payed homage to his fellow comrade on his Sirius/XM show. He salutes the classics and plays an unreleased interlude from the Moment Of Truth album, with guests Big Shug, Panchi and Guru’s nephew Justin.

I've been waiting to hear Preem and cats that are a part of the Gang Starr foundation speak and pay tribute to Guru. I am also hoping Peter Rosenberg and Cipha Sounds do one on their Juan Epstien and/or Real Late shows. I also hope Phonte and Brainchild do something on Gordon Gartell Radio...

what so ironic is the fact that i was in the middle of doing a mixtape with some of my favorite preemo beats when i found guru past. those dudes got me through alot of rough periods in my life. rip guru. preemo's getting straight to the point with these song selections. fuck solar
