Wow that is a painfully ugly couple

she is just as white as she is black. facts not fiction

Lol agreed

I don't do the one drop rule

No matter how hard these guys try, they not making black babies without black women ....... sorry ...

Black is black and mixed is mixed, end of convo

i am damn near as light as she is and so is my mother. my father wasn't.

so let't make one thing crystal. i am black. i like being black. i think being black gives me a world perspective that is unrivaled among other ethnicities in this country. and i for damn sure don't want to be white. most of them motherfuckers are clueless.

now with that said.

no one mixed likes being referred to as mulatto. that is derogatory to many of them. period. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mulatto

Mulatto is a term used to refer to a person who is born from one white parent and one black parent, or more broadly, a person of any proportion of noticeable European and African ancestry. In the broadest sense, it is applied to persons of Black and White ancestry.[1] Contemporary usage of the term is generally confined to situations in which the term is considered relevant in a historical context, as now most people of mixed white and black ancestry rarely choose to self-identify as mulatto.[2]

The term is generally considered archaic by some and inadvertently derogatory, especially in the African-American community. The term is widely used in Latin America and Caribbean usually without suggesting any insult. Accepted modern terms in the United States include "mixed" and "biracial".

people of mixed ancestry that includes african genealogy typically refer to themselves as black. do you know how ridiculous it sounds when someone says that they are, "bi-racial." The president of this country is technically bi-racial and he even refers to himself as black.

when black people start talking about i am bi-racial or mixed or some other bullshit it makes them appear aloof and ridiculous.

now you may call the defacto conformity but i call it keeping it real. when people start talking about "the sky is really not blue and the sun really doesn't rise and numbers are not absolute and no apple is identical," i don't have time for that bullshizzle.

i took the red pill. i live in the real world. if you want to keep swallowing blue pills you can keep being a coppertop.

i know a black person when i see one and trying to make a new label on gp is a waste of time.

I'm just going to be totally honest with why I am personally against the one drop rule

Firstly it was started by racists long ago so that in itself is why I have a hard time embracing it to begin with

Secondly it offends me that black men feel they can make black children with any race of women. It feels almost like we are slowly being replaced as the mothers of the black race. It's a unique situation that only affects us, no other race of women have to "share" their race like we do. Share is the only word I can think of to describe what I'm thinking. I hope you get my point

Thirdly mixed race women are being used to replace black beauty. To you men that may be a non issue but as a black woman, I don't want some super light girl with straight hair representing black beauty because its going to warp our little sisters idea of beauty even more. Again black women are in a unique position here because black men seem to think we should have all this high self esteem of our natural beauty even though its never reflected in the media and sadly it doesn't work that way. Images are important to young women. They need to see reflections of themselves and the beauty of mixed women doesn't represent or reflect the beauty of full black women

Lastly I do feel deeply that y'all are being played by crackkkers. Think about it. An IR couple has a mixed child. If that child is a boy, odds are he will want another non bw and he has a child who is 1/4 black. And so on and so forth. Next thing you know there is a blue eyes, blonde haired, white skin individual claiming black. You don't think crackkkers are happy to see black beauty slowly turn into their own standard of beauty? Cuz that's whats happening here. Black men have convinced themselves that white men hate seeing them with white women but I believe the ones looking at the bigger picture are ok with it

Homie you seem angry. You didn't address anything I said. White racist made the one drop rule. So by conforming to it you are perpetuating the bs. black is beautiful. But being real is beautiful too. don't let white racist put you in a box. and in regards to the pill you are taking the same one they took in slavery.

Since Africans came here as slaves and the slave master (white man) had their way with so many of their property. As well as interracial marriages and relation that produced mixed race babies. whom later went on to marry black men or women. How do you determine who is black or not? Hell there are so many white folk who aint "really" white.

race is a social construct. but niggas is trying to make it more complicated.

if you claim black or african american you are just as lost as you claim i am.

please lord tell me that i am not arguing with a cac over what it means to be black. pretty please.

i just remembered that white folks are now trying to claim obama knowing damn well that if he we were not president he would just be another ****** to them.

please lord........

Sometimes I feel compelled to get my hair braided.
I don't know where I get these feelings from.

You want me to tell ya?

okay, i see u live in a a false reality....

No, you are. I used to argue that mixed people were black as well, but keep in mind the one-drop rule was created by white people to explain racial purity. Calling mixed people black is continuing that racist legacy.

boom.

white supremacists came up with that one drop rule.

how can you be against white supremacy and the people who practice it but buy into the one drop rule?

we can agree to disagree. in a way....

race in and of itself is a social construct. unfortunately we live in a society where nothing we do will change that in our lifetimes.

pretending that race doesn't exist and there are infinite classifications of race only makes matters worse.

i definitely have white lineage in my family as do most black americans. i get called light bright all of the time. what the fuck does that make me?

You have the right to self-identify but calling that person black is some racist American propaganda. They are both, black and white. Of course they will be treated as black (cops can't tell the difference) but that STILL doesn't make them black.

You can keep up the rule created by Klan members if you want to, but....

I didnt realize you were one of those people

so what do we do? how do we label ourselves?

What is it that you would like?

For a child who is 3/4 white to be recognized as black by the black community? Should someone who is 3/4 white represent black beauty?? Represent black people as a whole???

I'm asking seriously, no shade

Its interesting to me that you identify with them because of your complexion. I dont think having a great great great great great grandparent who is white is the same as having a mother who is white but it seems like you do

My wife's mom is white, her father is black. When I met her, I just saw a big booty.

On the real she and her sister, prefer mixed.

how old are they?

do they in some way prefer being called mixed because it makes them 'special?'

i have never seen mixed on any form of application. in the blank line that they leave to they put mixed?

So is Obama black? All I want know.

He has a white mother and was raised by his white grandparents

you tell me what he is

Then tell me why its offensive to recognize this person has parents of 2 different races instead of one

This voyeur coon seems scared to address me

he needs to change his usertitle

If he feels white women can make black babie and there is no such thing as race, I dont get why he has that user title
