I just need it to do well enough for it to continue but poor enough to be sure that Michael Bay can never lay his hands on this franchise again.

dude I saw that

They were comparing it to the last one, which made like 40 mil it's first day

This is already the reboot

Bay has ruined the franchise. They will try it again in 10 years with someone else

The reviews for it have been abysmal

It cost like $250 to make so with international it will make that

It's going to drop big next week, they will do well because of the Wednesday release...but it's not breaking 175 here

but with the reviews I can't see Bay being involved again

:roflmao:

all them dam explosions & u cant c shit when they fighting but a bunch of dam metal...

u dont know who is who...:hmm:

Criminal how awful these films have been.. They cant even get the very basics of making the robots look like actual car robots.. I would like it if one day someone gets it right.. Pacific Rim should be the template.
Fool me once shame on you
fool me twice shame on me
fool me 3 times shame on the studio
fool me 4 times...wait.. tf? you think you're going to fool me 4 times? foh
:smh:

Everything runs its course. But I think they'll try one more time. This was a very lucrative series so they should give it one more shot. Call this one an oops. Correct the problems and build the next movie on top of a solid script.

Special effects alone can't carry a movie. Without a good plot you've got nothing.

As others have said the overdone CGI makes following the action and combat scenes virtually impossible. Add to that one dimensional actors and the same old tired plot and you get an extremely forgettable franchise. None of the movies can hold my interest because from the start of the movie you basically know all you're waiting for is the final battle. Everything in between is easily predictable so all you really need to watch is the last half hour or so.

#1 reason the keep making them ...numbers of the last 2 ....no way u turn ur back on that much money ...

one of the few franchises to have 2 movies in the billion dollar club ...:money:

i have a funny feeling th overseas numbers will carry this movie & 6 & 7 will get made...:rolleyes2:

if you're watching these movies for more than sound/visual effects something is wrong. the only reason i own the first 2 on blu-ray is to hear them on my sound system. i love me some good demo material.

It'll get rebooted. I would like to see J.J. Abrams, Neill Blomkamp, Jordan Peele or Joss Whedon take over. I thought Bey did good with the first one. It all went downhill from there.

I have seen everyone of them, and this will not be missed.

The opening scene alone is worth the price of admission. There are far too many directors out there who don't understand he idea of BlockBuster.

Micheal Bay gets it.

Much like the now defunct store blockbuster, the concepts have passed mr bay by

saddest part this is the best scene out their whole franchise

Yup the very first Transformers movie was a classic, to me
Shit had sooo many memorable scenes in it

1) The opening "Base attack" scene
That EMP was no joke

2) The scene when they are fighting Scorponok, in the dessert
Even the music was on point, when the military mobilized the air attack...Bring the Rain

3) The first time Optimus Prime showed up & transformed in that alley
They showed the full transformation up close & even panned the camera around 360 degrees

4) When Bumblebee switched to the "new" Camaro
That was the very first time Chevy showed off the new Camaro, I think it was still a concept car in the movie
They even had the "Kill Bill" music playing in the background, when Bumblebee switched car forms

5) Bumblebee vs that Ford Mustang
I think that might have been the first year Ford came out with the "new" Mustang

6) When Starscream was transforming in mid air, shooting those other F22 jets
And the final battle scene when he swooped down, shot some bullets, then took off again

7) The whole entire final battle scene
From the highway car chase, to Optimus & Megatron busting through the buildings

8) And R.I.P. Bernie Mack
