They keep talking about Marie being as powerful as Homelander, but we've seen nothing to indicate that she's any better with these powers than Neuman was, and Neuman wasn't fucking with Homelander. In fact, Homelander invited Neuman to try and pop his head. Neuman's body was ripped apart, so her and Marie's durability is not anywhere near Homelander's level.
