AMC Theaters is selling both a popcorn bucket and a drinking cup. The bucket is themed after both Captain America’s suit and shield and is called “Collapsible Shield Popcorn Tub” and is 300 oz. When not in use, the bucket, as the name suggests, can be collapsed. The collapsible portion of the cup is navy blue and contains the star symbol seen on Sam Wilson’s suit chestplate. Meanwhile, the bottom portion is a replica of the Captain America shield.On the other hand, the drinking cup, AKA “Armor Cup,” is large and themed after the stars and stripes on Captain America’s suit.

A new year means new movies are on the way, and 2025 is kicking off one of the big ones with Captain America: Brave New World. At long last, Sam Wilson is continuing the legacy of Steve Rogers after the events of Avengers: Endgame. The Marvel Cinematic Universe is seemingly trying to get all their ducks in a row as we get near the debut of Avengers: Doomsday with no team in sight. It is time to round up some stories, and there is no better person to unite a new team than Captain America. As pre-sale tickets are already live, movie theaters have finally debuted their popcorn exclusives at AMC, Regal, and Cinemark. There are even a few collectible items for ticket purchases, including a special bonus for the hit video game Marvel Rivals.

Last summer, Marvel Studios ruled movie theater collectible popcorn buckets with their Deadpool & Wolverine buckets. (With some very stiff competition from the Dune popcorn bucket of course). Well, next month gives us our first Marvel Studios popcorn bucket of the year, when Captain America: Brave New World hits cinemas. Naturally, AMC Theatres designed this latest prop-quality bucket to look like Cap’s iconic vibranium shield. It features a whopping 300-ounce collapsible shield that snaps into action. Guests can also get a soft touch material Armor Cup and top it off with a lid, which also replicates the shield. You can check out the first images right here:

In addition, the folks at AMC Theaters will have a limited-time All-American and exclusive gourmet popcorn variety, called Firecracker Crunch. They’ve covered the popcorn in white fudge, with red and blue popping candy. It also contains a subtle raspberry flavor. “Firecracker” is an apt name, since we expect lots of fireworks when Sam Wilson’s Captain America, played by Anthony Mackie, and Harrison Ford’s Red Hulk finally throw down. Are we to guess that the raspberry represents the Red Hulk? We’re not sure, but we’ve decided that’s our official Captain America: Brave New World head canon.
We’re not sure if Captain America: Brave New World is getting any other popcorn buckets. But we would not be surprised if we get some Red Hulk Hands. The Hulk Hands became a huge selling toy back in the day, one that a lot of you probably reading this owned as kids. So some Red Hulk Hands as popcorn buckets would be an incredible homage to those toys of yesteryear. Sam Wilson’s wings would be cool too, although we’re not sure how that would work exactly. We’ll just have to wait and see if they surprise us with more. In the meantime, Captain America: Brave New World hits theaters everywhere on February 14.

The winter 2025 box office could certainly use a hero, and all eyes are on Anthony Mackie-starrer Captain America: Brave New World to be just that.
If early tracking is right, the Marvel Studios feature should open to at least $90 million-plus over the combined Valentine’s Day/Presidents Day weekend, one of the top showings ever for the holiday. That’s the same weekend the first Deadpool opened, as well as the first Black Panther. This year’s first all-audience event pic opens on Feb. 14.
It’s back to the basics for Marvel when it comes to the movie, which sees an entirely new cast. Mackie‘s Sam Wilson take up the mantle of Captain America, the hero previously played by Chris Evans. Tonally, the movie stays away from sci-fi elements and the multiverse and features an entirely new cast. It also cost around $180 million, less than many other Marvel movies.
Rather, the movie is a political action thriller akin to Captain America: The Winter Soldier, the 2014 film that starred Evans and introduced Mackie to the MCU. At CinemaCon last year, Marvel head Kevin Feige promised “no aliens, no alien invasions, no time travel,” before showing off some footage. He also called is a “relatively grounded action film.”
Directed by Julius Onah, Brave New World also stars Harrison Ford as newly elected U.S. President Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross, who wants to bring Captain America aboard in an official military position. But before Wilson can make a decision, he uncovers a nefarious global plot that includes facing off with Ross when the president unexpectedly transforms into the Red Hulk.

Marvel, which had to take serious stock of its strategy and future after several films faltered, culminating with The Marvels, is in a far better place now thanks to the stunning success of Deadpool & Wolverine, which became the top-grossing, R-rated pic of all time after earning north of $1.3 billion globally in summer 2024.
That’s not to say that Brave New World didn’t hit bumps in the road. The film, which operated under a hazy shroud after wrapping principal photography in the spring of 2023, underwent 22 days of additional photography in spring of 2024 on its way to its Feb. 14, 2025 release date in after several delays.
At an opening of $90 million, Brave New World would boast the fifth-biggest President’s Day launch behind three Marvel titles — Black Panther ($242.2 million), Deadpool ($152l.1 million), Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantamania ($120.4 million) — Universal’s Fifty Shades of Grey ($93.1 million), not adjusted for inflation.
Disney will use the next three weeks to make its final and biggest marketing for the film, which could come in ahead of projections if there is positive word of mouth
