DIEGO CORRALES KILLED IN MOTORCYCLE ACCIDENT
By G. Leon

Earlier tonight former two division world champion Diego Corrales, 29, got into a motorcycle accident in Las Vegas, Nevada and was pronounced dead at the scene. Moments ago Corrales manager James Prince confirmed the grim news to Boxingtalk. Corrales will always be remembered as a warrior in the ring and our deepest condolences go out to his entire family. (12:25 AM EST)

R.I.P. to one of the greatest warriors, and one half of one of the top 5 greatest fights in boxing history.

hadn't heard that anywhere else...hope it's not true, if so, rip

dude always gave entertaining fights...either ko's or getting ko'd...not like some of these ring dancers and dodgers

R.I.P. -Fucking with those motorcycles.. I lost 2 homies in one week to them shits...

Shocked as hell by this.

I actually got his autograph a few years ago but I haven't been able to find it. Now I feel all cursed.

Prayers go out to that true warrior's family.

Oh shit, I just found this out. Not a great fighter in my eyes, but he had tremendous heart and determanation and seemed like a very good guy outside the ring. This is a sad moment in boxing.

R.I.P. Diego Corrales.

That was my nigga. Nooooooooooo!
This is fucked up sad.

He used to piss me off not using his jab.
But you were always entertained by his
fuck it go hard attitude

He could have dominated welters if he took his time.

Clottey was not a good first welterweight choice.

Shit could happen to any one of us count your
blessings

Chills......everyday is a blessing.
R.I.P.

R.I.P. ... I remember that his dad was in his corner & everything. My sincere condolences to this brother & his fam.

The newes in LA showed a video of a guy in the street down and no one stopped to help.............cars just drove by anybody knows if that was him..........RIP

Tough break for a really good fighter. Watching him early in his career as a featherweight champ, before being beaten by a more skillful Mayweather (tough to see that as his only media outlet), go to prison, and then recapture the Lightweight title in one of the greatest boxing matches in boxing history against J L Castillo was a great story in itself.

RIP

:smh: Damn, dude was 1 of my favorite boxers from any weightclass. Im sad 2 hear this shit, on the real. I just lost my cousin last Thursday... then we found out my wife's cousin had just died last Tuesday (we found out late because family is so scattered after Hurricane Katrina). Now I hear that Corrales is gone, damn. Thanx 4 the info. Rest in Peace, Diego... you will be missed. 100
