in my opinion ... i think Diddy's Press Play is the best hip hop album of 06 ... i mean, im not a diddy fan, but i was listening to his whole album and I gotta give it to him, its a great album from start to finish... better then Jays and Nass new shit of 06 ... but thats just, my thoughts ... i kno, all u immature kids out there are gonna disagree cuz diddy aint "cool" but its just my thoughts .. what yall think who got the best hip hop album of 06?
 
i've never been one to listen to diddy's lyrics.
its good to bump it at teh club or in the car, but beyond that.......its not a lyrical thing for me.

i'd bump mos def true magic before diddy's.

i cant think of other albums right now

I bust out laughing when I read this thread title but to be honest I haven't listened to his album so I can't disagree. I heard Common, Pharohe Monch, Game, Kanye West, Mos Def and some other cats were his ghostwriters tho

I hear you, Diddy's album is fantastic...except for every time he opens his mouth.
Insert any reasonably talented rapper into Diddy's place on this album and it would be a classic. The album cuts are solid and every single so far has been the shit (again except for when Diddy opens his mouth). He should have just handed those tracks over to Keshia Cole, Christina Aguillera, and Nicole Sherzinglasnotikiff, and saved our ears the pain.

All the talk about Jay Z only investing in his own record on Def Jam, while this clown gets a free pass.......does he even have any artists anymore? Wtf happened to New Edition, btw....?

Comin' from a dude who hates NY music I thought his record was actually hot for what it was trying to accomplish. He had some heat but then again he had Just Blaze, Kanye, Timbo and Danja all producin' tracks so he was bound to have some heat. But i'll give him credit. His album definatley exceeded my expectations.
