There is a theory that rich and powerful people being in the spotlight/ limelight helps keep the duality going. They have to have that public persona to keep funding the private business/ lifestyle.....

If Diddy goes completely behind the scenes (investments, properties....etc) dude can be as "diabolical" as he wants to be and not have to flip that switch.
