It wasn't about not liking something. It's the
obsession with the topic. I don't really like sports. So you know what I DON'T do? I don't go to every sports thread talking about how I don't like sports. I don't watch it. I don't intentionally consume any information about it. Some sports figures and incidents are unavoidable, but I'm not going around trying to convince people who like sports not to watch them, or tell them that they are wasting their lives away being spectators instead of REAL players or that they are contributing to the exploitation of black men and boys for the profit of white billionaires. Or telling people not to put their boys in sports because they are not owners and most likely will never be a owner or coach. I'm not telling y'all to stop funding the massas plantation who is having black men and boys play for their profit and entertainment. Or saying if they were really black men with any pride they wouldn't play for the racists who enjoy the abuse their bodies take and the money they make their owners, but have no love for them as black people.
The examples I gave were of people who
consistently obsessed over gay folks and child molesters. Everyone they didn't like was gay or a child molester. The GOP often accuses dems of pedophilia or sexual misconduct, saying everyone is enabling child molesters but aside from Al Franken, who should have never left office IMO, and Anthony Weiner, there are no dems that I know of getting caught up like the GOP and clergy. They want to pass laws to stop gay folks from openly living their lives. They are worried about trans folk to the point that their fear and hate is causing issues for regular people.
MIchelled Dionne Peacock, a black woman, was killed by a man who said she was "a male acting like a woman."
The attacks claimed the lives of an Indiana woman and an Oregon man, both cisgender people.

Christine Gallinaro had the cops called on her because she took her 15 year old austic son to the women's restroom because he cannot go to a public restroom by himself. She was told it was not a transgender restroom and forced to leave the building. Not a boy dressed as a woman, but a teen with an obvious disability.
As a black woman, when black women routinely get accused of being unfeminine, masculine looking etc, this is a concern for me, and should be for you also. I know women who who could be mistaken as trans. There are tons of memes online stating Michelle Obama is a man or trans. Larger women, black women with heavier voices are all potential targets for trans hate crimes in addition to the usual ones we have to worry about. The anti immigrant rhetoric concerns me. I often get mistaken as Latina if I wear my hair slicked back in a bun. I stopped wearing it like that because of hateful looks I would get from white men when the anti immigrant rhetoric was off the charts. People are actually assaulting those they dislike now so it's a safety concern. I have personal experience with a loon who saw child abuse in every situation. Calling the police on everyone from the pastor down the street, various neighbors, us included. She thought dreams were visions from God so when she had a dream someone molested someone, she would call the police. It wasn't a fun situation. When accusations about grooming etc are made, they need to be based on actual perceived harm, not randomly thrown around so random weirdos on the internet can start harassing people or showing up at pizza parlors ready to kill folk to liberate kids from a basement that doesn't exist.
Others are pointing out that you seem overly obsessed with gay folks and dems working on behalf of gay folks. It's not something I often have to think about, but you have brought it up several times in this thread and its noticeable because you are the ONLY one talking about it. No one here is discussing or promoting gay rights. Like it or not they are still citizens, entitled to representation and to participate in the voting process. I'm not going to be mad that they have the right to get married like everyone else. I'm convinced half of them would be republicans along with about 30-40% of black folks if it wasn't for the homophobia and racism of the GOP, but as it is, Dems are the best and really ONLY option since part of the GOP'S platform is essentially hate for black folks, gay folks and other PoC.
