Prime has a point. I think its simple. These kids are smart. Baseball is a slow strategic sport. Besides being on the bench the players are spaced out and not constantly speaking to each other. As opposed to basketball and football the players are in constant communication and interacting working as a team. Which is just more exciting. Then you have to go to college then the minor leagues so you looking at the least 4 extra years. But black kids need to start thinking about the long game. You can have a really long career in baseball. I feel like the most wear tear on the players come from the pitching position.

My boy plays pretty high level baseball and we pay like $2300 a season. A big part of it is how much it coasts to take a team to the tournaments. These joints will charge more than $1000 - $2000 per team. That's if it's local (which it's a blessing that we live in Texas). People playing up norf and in states like Oregon and Colorado have to travel to Cali, Georgia and Texas to get some good comp.

When it time to invest on these companies, there was no shortage of capital willing to invest. Obviously the propectus of the investment returns were good enough to rival other gambling investments.
The only reason the payout may be better is because of the low overhead of not having a physical location to maintain.

Meanwhile, in football can miss a pass and wide out might have been hit or the QB hit. Everyone had to move.It's just boring to play and watch in relation to the other sports. Hockey/soccer are non-stop action with the same low scoring as baseball which is very little action.
They try to do this with football (soccer) here in the states too. The best players are always priced out and only the white boys who can afford the exepdnaice schools and pricey academies make their way through.
