I think people put too much weight on what school players are transferring from or how they are rated in High School. Some of the SEC transfers didn’t play much and an Ivy Leaguer seems to be the most impressive DLineman.

that is true…. Cokes a former Ivy League player got his numba first on the defensive….
Does that mean the other players ain’t that good
Does that mean he was possibly way better than folks would think
Does that mean he’s smarter and process things quicker..
Does him being a senior helps for being a leader

No one with common sense is expecting them to come out and win 10 games... or even 8. Hell 5 would be a hell of an improvement from where they were last year. He didn't flip JSU in one year either.

Yeah but the difference is no one was expecting anything at jsu. Here they're building the hype so big that anything less than a winning record is going to be viewed as over rated.

I agree 1000%, your statement is very true we have to be realistic with things

Every time I try to be realistic with it, the thoughts about TCU being 5-7 in 2022 after hiring a new coach( they had talks with Coach Prime) then going to the 2023 title game and finished at 13-2….
Then I sit back to think man that Colorado roster was 1-11(even tho we changed everything but the mascot and team colors)…which lead me to thinking about a USC going 4-8 in 2022 then hired Lincoln Riley(who brought his luggage with him) then improved to a 11-3 record in 2023….

So idk….. I’m just here
