Former NFL player Deion Sanders took the time to share his thoughts on the controversy surrounding Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Deion-Sanders-600x448Riley Cooper using the “N” word during a concert. On Saturday, during a pre-Hall of Fame Show, Sanders said that he finds it “baffling” that black players are holding Cooper accountable for saying a word that they themselves use.
Sanders said he is disturbed that black people will say the word to each other in locker rooms and on rap songs but will demonize “a kid who made a mistake” in using the word.
Sanders said the people who are judging Cooper have probably said something in the privacy of their own homes that they don’t want to get out.
“[Cooper] said something under pressure that really told us what’s inside of him. I can forgive him for that. But I cannot for one minute think that [those going after Cooper] have not said something in [their] home, in [their] workplace, at a club partying, or just among friends that [they] don’t want to get out,” Sanders said.
Sanders then asked, “[Yet] you have the audacity to judge this kid?”
Then Sanders concluded, “it baffles [him] how African-Americans can say [the word] to one another, but when the other race says it, [they] see a problem.”
In Sanders’ mind, blacks shouldn’t use the “N” word if they don’t want whites to use it. Do you agree with Sanders or is he off the mark?

Stupid reasoning. Even if nigga and ****** are really the same shit at it's root, at least recognize that a cultural shift took place with the use that word with black people.
