It's not even necessary to put in any more work. The entire "fake news" narrative is founded, in part, on their belief that anything can be faked, even evidence that clearly isn't. So any time someone produces stuff like this, it just cements in their mind that whatever audio/video they don't like must be fake.

In fact, it goes deeper than that, because they don't even have to believe that it is fake. Just the argument that it could be is enough for them to hunker down and troll the universe.

And I know you probably meant creating fake videos of Democrats saying/doing things, but the truth is that the GOP has so ingrained their base that Democrats are evil that they really don't need to fake anything to confirm that. Sad, but true.
