I wonder, if men were in a woman's position, would they do all this altering/modifying of their bodies...like, for what?!?
Of course, losing and/or gaining weight can be for health reasons - and it doesn't take "going under the knife" to do.
But, seriously, this woman has obviously altered her nose, chin...outside of what she has done to her lower body half FOR WHAT?!?

You're getting older!!! Be okay with getting older, and maintaining a healthy weight/shape and let THAT be your thing! Not trying to remain relevant with women 10-20 years younger than you by cutting into your skin...

Was out at dinner once with the wife and saw this couple at another table each with their cell phones out taking pics of everything they were eating. We looked at each other and laughed. Was hilarious. Dude just as much looking for attention as the chick.
Now, now, now...my husband takes pictures of his food when we're out because he's country lol. It's slowed down since we've been together, but, every now and then, he'll still pull that damn phone out but Lord knows I love him, so...you give and you take lol
But, yeah, dudes out here (some straight men too) being just as thirsty as women for likes. The body altering is just stupid because it's rooted in insecurity 9 times out of 10.

I know of her personally. She's within the entertainment industry and she travels toward larger global markets not just bump fuck country town usa coming for HBCU events.
Its apart of her business she also works out via boxing i know the brehs who own the gym.
Its a man or woman wants to improve themselves and they should be able to do so. I like her new look.

If anything, I'm saying what is wrong with men/women, even those in the entertainment industry, embracing that they're getting older and being okay with that versus trying to fight it. Especially as a black women, if you've been taking care of yourself, your aging occurs beautifully. To me, it seems she's still out here trying to compete with younger women...and, quite frankly, she'll lose that battle because she isn't young like that anymore. But, ya know, her battle, her fight...
When I first went vegan last year, I was taking pics and showing my other vegan friends on whatsapp what I was eating, but wasnt posting to IG or anywhere for likes, was just for confirmations of what I was doing was ok.
This dude I'm talking about was a little too giddy and happy for what he was taking pics of and doing selfies with the girl. Every appetizer, main course and dessert. They barely spoke, mostly just about angles to take the pics that looked the best. Was really pathetic to us.
Idk it's just a generation thing that I can't seem to understand why. I don't need online gratification for my daily life. There's some psych issue with people like that. Truthfully sad in my opinion. It is insecurity like you said.
