This is fuckery! Now we all know Dwayne McDuffie, the brother who made Justice League Unlimited one of the best cartoons on TV thanks to his writing skills.

We also know Dwayne as the founder of DC's Milestone Comics back in the day, which was a line of books featuring ethnic superheroes. Recently, DC reintroduced those characters into DC's regular continuity. Yeah, ICON was a member of the JLA. Well, looks like all those ethnic heroes...except for Static...are being pushed back into a dark hole again. Read on...:hmm:

I personally don't give a fuck.

Dwayne McDuffie and a lot of other black comic creators/writers/artists need to understand that there's no way they're going to make it via the mainstream route especially if they want to bring their own unique creations and vision to discerning comic fans.

The likes of Frank Miller, Jim Lee, Whilce Portacio and the other cats who broke away from Marvel to form their own Image Comics line knew what was up as far as creator owned material was concerned.

Dwayne needs to do the same thing and stop hoping to piggy back off of DC to float his universe.

Just imagine if he'd invested all of the creative juice he poured into the Justice League animated series to actually develop his own animatedstuff featuring his own universe?

Now, that would really have been a Milestone.

I said the same thing in the original post of this.

He would have better off going with Image. DC and Marvel will stay killing the small guys out of sheer principle.

It's a bit like Vince McMahahon absorbing WCW just to kill of viable competition.

You'd think that in this day and age Dwayne and co would have realized that. :smh:
