I grew listening to good soul singers. I find the young guys coming up are not delivering to the high standards I am expection from them. Raheem has lots of potential. Sometimes his tunes are on point so I am expecting lyrics befitting a soul classic that will stand the test of time.

I thought that Keri Hilson video was atrocious. I didn't find that sensual at all...

The thing about the actual song is it's just a mixtape cut - Rappers do it all the time - grab someone else's beat and spit their words over it. The beat is Lil Wayne's "Single for the night" and he just sang over it.
As for the video, sensuality rules the day. Some thought it was over the top, but then again, we see full scale penetration on this site anyway, so we're not trippin. Give Rah credit - it's got people talking.

I have to agree R&B today is weak an the many of the artist today have already proven they don't have the staying power of artist pre-dating the 90s. R.Kelly being to top seller over the last 20/25 years proves how weak this genre has become.
When I'm asked to do compilation CDs 99% of the request is for the vintage stuff.
