David Stern on FLOPPING "We should give out Oscars rather than MVPS"

Reggie was a flopped no doubt, but he was never, not once considered for even a moment the best player in the nba, and he was never in real contention for MVP, much less a three time winner.

Compare Lebron to his historical peers and try again. Can you think of a player on his level to be such a flopper?

Do it without dancing around my post.

Don't even waste your time bruh. I made this point last week and had to charge the conversation due to the stupidity of the responses. No need wasting time talking sense to a generation that digs Waka Flaka and probably sleeping outside right now waiting on Battleship tickets :smh:

Yo what was the one where Lebron flopped then winked after...how can that not get back to refs and if it did, how can they still give him the benefit of the doubt?

Also who remembers my boy Paul Pierce getting tapped on the jaw then that fool did a presser with his face wrapped!

That Lebron was that one against Rose in the playoffs where he acted like Rose just hit em with some uppercut slap, then they showed Lebron winking at Spoelstra.

And niggas wanted Rose to pop-lock and shit with that nigga at the All-Star game after some hoe ass shit like that.

real fucking shit

like I said players are flopping because it is rewarded

they have made flopping a part of their games :smh::lol:

These muthafuckas be practing flopping on Wednesdays and shit.

Probably be bringing in Rowdy Roddy Piper and Bret Hart to teach them some floppy shit.

I watched the first half if the Pacers/Heat game and knew what was up. Wade was crying for every call and he went to the line 10 times in the first half with all that flailing and flopping. In the second half I believe LeBron was checking George in the post. George came across LeBrons chest with a normal contact elbow...LeBron threw his head back and grabbed his throat like he couldn't breathe. After the ref didn't give him a foul he kept grabbing his throat and acted like he was gasping for air but the refs ignored him.

If the refs would tell bitches like LeBron Wade Ginobli that we are not calling flops and ignore that bullshit for one game they would stop. This shit has gotten out of hand and its time these 280lb men stop acting like they just got shot. Hopefully stern does something about it in the off-season

And another call I hate us the touch foul on the perimeter. If the defender is retreating and he touches the offensive guy with his hip without any consequence, why call it. Just play on...but lil bitches like ChrisPaul act like a hip check just knocked him in the first row.

I would like for Stern to address all of this shit in the off-season. He also needs to make JoeyCrawford retire.

Nobody is giving any props to the Godfather of Flops??

This is all that needs to be done. When the team captains meet the ref at half court he should tell both of teams then

I am 40, and I have seen flopping since I was a kid. We just live in a day of instant replay and high definition tv. So, it seems like there is more now, but watching in person and on the bad tv screens won't help at all.

People are just trying to bash Lebron. Dude does flop, but I don't see too many players who don't flop.

lebron takes that sheit to another level. it's like a fly buzzin on his shoulder sends him into the nearest wall.

but this flop is one of my favorites

Karl Malone, and Jordan use to sell that bullshit too

The commissioner asked for this with all the rule changes. They wanted a no contact game, and so what would you expect. It started with the Bad Boys then the Derek Harper Rule (no handchecking) and now you can't even make contact with players. It does make for teams to actually play better defense because they can't touch the other player unless they are in the post. They created this monster. I don't mind. I hated all the rule changes because I don't think the NBA is really concerned with selling basketball but a brand of basketball which is why an all out defensive slugfest is "boring" when baskets are a premium while scoring 125 points is exciting. Only hockey does stuff like that and they had no choice.

and I will tell em 1 hof'er who was prolific at flopping Reggie fuckin Miller

the originator of the ACTUAL flop (falling to the ground on your back) in the NBA is michael cooper.

earvin johnson innovated the role with the verbal shriek and the arm flail while going to the rim. stat padders have used this pathetic ruse to get to the line throughout the 2000s.

the inventors of the flop in sports are europeans in soccer, who fall to the ground and HOLD THEIR FACES IN THEIR HANDS. you can see euros do this in today's game with sasha vujacic and danilo gallinari.

You can stop flopping. Just put one ref at the table watching TV for foot on the line, last touched, etc - and include flopping.

how about the NBA holds officials responsible for their actions and grades them on their competence?

officials shouldn't be ball watching and making calls based on wild shit they see with their peripheral vision (arm flails and upper torso movement).
