Does anyone listen to Dave Ramsey? If so do you believe in or even follow what he says about debt, credit cards, borrowing money, etc.

I use to listen before they changed his time slot in my town.

He makes a lot of sense if you really pay attention. Most of the things he say require time. Time to settle things out. I use to like it when people would call in with these large amounts of debt....shit was wild.

Well how can someone not believe in what he is saying. He is saying the truth. It's not the only truth but its one that's perfect for most people. He is doing it in the Biblical sense also. The bible says "owe no man nothing buy your love" It also go on to say "be the lender not the debtor".

His teachings are fantastic and if all of us including myself would live by them we would be much happier financially. There is not that is wrong about living below your means. The truth is that most people (including myself) don't excercise proper judge/self discipline when it comes to using credit and credit card which makes it very easy to live above your means. He recommends people paying off their mortgages as quickly as possible, buying a car within their means (no financing), buying everything you need without financing unless its absolutely necessary.

A man who owns his things without any debts attached to them sleeps better at nights, has less stress and is more proud (watch out for the ex and the pirates, you will need asset protection big time when you own a lot). Hopefully I will be there soon.

What he's saying is true the question is, is it pratical for most people. We are products of our enviroments, creatures of habit. If you were not brought up in a environment where wealth building was a priority chances are you will never do it. That's why America is divided into upper, middle, and lower classes, people seldom rise above the class they were born in. The good news is it only takes about 30 days to learn new behavior, so if a person really wanted to move up in the world basically all you have to do is open your mind and change environments. That's easier said than done, most of the time people will not let strangers in on a good thing. When you throw in America's status conciousness it's like if you are not born rich you never will be.

The real key to changing is finding a environment that's right for you. Whether it's sports, sex, making money or whatever, your chances of success depends on where you hang and who you hang with. I started a environment called www.simplecashflo.com for peeps who are serious about getting money and moving up. At the moment it's in the early stages but when I get some free time it will be a place where anyone can go and get hands on advice from people that are actually doing what you want to do. Eventually it will be a pay site complete with advice and knowledge on just about every subject you can imagine. Bookmark it now and keep checking back. I'm in the process of hooking up partnerships in Asia and Europe at the moment but when I get some time I will be working on this project 24/7.
