No one likes hearing that their Mac and cheese ain’t right. And I find the feedback alarming because we’ve been doing tons of Q/A behind the scenes. I saw the video and immediately alerted Tommy. He was a little alarmed too because he said the food had been good and he hadn’t gotten complaints. Even one complaint is too many for me!
I’ve alerted our lead chef. I’ve given him explicit instructions. He’s having a meeting with his kitchen staff to ensure they’re following the steps to the letter. Tommy is en route, too. He’s going to order a Mac and cheese just for quality assurance purposes. He’s going to do both, a video and photo, of the plated dish.
If this doesn’t show my commitment to getting it right, I’m not sure what else does. At @hiphopsoul.bali, we don’t make excuses. We make changes and strive to get better each day. That’s why we are in our soft opening. This is the time to mess up…so we can make sure that this new concept in Bali is absolutely perfect! For those who’ve been, thank you.
