Damon Dash speaks on Jay-Z's Spotify, Youtube Diss

For the life of me, Im trying to figure out who the fucc is paying any attention to what Dame Dash has to say? When he was relevant and making money with Jay, nobody liked him. Now, he's broke and hating on Jay, still nobody likes him, but every time I look up, this nicca got somethin to say, or is a thread topic. Excuse me, maybe I got it twisted. Maybe yall niccas really do like him, which in this case would mean that Im the hater. Yeah, maybe thats it. I get it now, reverse psychology. Brilliant Niccas, Brilliant!

He's basically calling Jay an opportunist which is exactly what he is. Jay only ever has anything "political" to say when it directly benefits him financially. He will be pro black if it makes him rich.

Oh, so basically ur saying that he's like most of us. I get it now.

So what is Chatty Patty Dame?

How does Dame say he likes that Jay is talking about commercial independence, instead of people killing each other, but all his movies he's making is people killing each other.

Speak for yourself. Simply because I've criticized someone you admire/like or maybe worship, does not mean we are all equally guilty of the same offense. Jay-z been rapping for 21 years and the most radical thing he's ever said was this tidal freestyle because it directly has to do with his business. He tried to make people like Tidal because of the aspect of artists getting more money. I agree with that, I like the idea.

But ppl haven't responded to it how he liked, mostly because ppl r locked into other modes and are generally pleased with those options (apparently) and ppl generally don't give a fuck about how much artists make (most don't buy albums to begin with for example). He's trying to claim racism, which, let's say is valid to at least some extent, we know this is a racist country. But his record of rapping about social justice issues of any kind is, let's say very poor. And this issue, of big money being against his still relatively big money is not the racism I or virtually anyone is concerned about. Particularly for someone who says and has done so little over the two decades he's been in the public eye.

This is the same racism Kanye West was so amped up about in his "how sway?" Rant! Louis Vuitton won't let me have a seat at his table and design another shoe. Let's protest'!! They outline their very elitist take on racism in their song "Murder to excellence". A dope record with very shallow, elitist, self serving viewpoints on racism.

I like Jay. I was happy he broke into the agent realm and signed Cano and KD to massive contracts. Why should white/Jewish agents have exclusive access to deals brokered on the strength of black talent? I like the concept of Tidal. But let's be real, Jay don't give a fuck about nothing more than Money. He is the Michael Jordan of hip hop where he's possibly the best to have ever done it AND the least vocal about social issues, unless he has an angle. Remember occupy all streets where he tried to capitalize on the occupy movement? Things r what they r and Jay is an opportunist. Period. The end.
