When it all boils down to it, Vick is a target. He is being targeted by those who want to see him fail, by those who want him out of the league and by those who were involved in his dog business dealings. No man should be a shut in, but Vick, if he wants to continue to have a career, for better or worse, needs to do just that. He's a target. It sounds fucked up, but he shouldn't put himself in a position where people can try and take a shot. He has everything to lose, and nothing to gain.

I hear ya Doc but this isnt about racial equity or fairness. Its about knowing your predicament and making sound decisions to protect your future. At the very least Vick continues to show himself as incapable of making smart decisions or thinking before acting. He just doesnt appear to think things out and it may cost him his livlihood at some point. The guy was/is on a zero tolerance policy and he knows that. I just dont see how a public birthday bash in his hometown seemed like a good idea to a guy who has went through what he is, all things considered.
The world is such a bigger place than just your neighborhood, night clubs, strip bars, lifetime trouble making friends and hard headed foolish family members. Broaden your horizons and free yourself of those burdens.

i have no ties to the eagles and i don't hate them. i have strongly disliked their practices the last couple of years. getting rid of players who were the backbone of the team and discarding mcnabb like he wasn't the best qb in team history meanwhile keeping reid like he wasn't the problem. even when reid had those off the field problems nobody said nothing. dude can't even lead his household how he gone lead a football team?
if the eagles cut vick for being a fool they'll be foolish too. in the end more than likely vick won't be charged with anything. they don't have the roster to support this decision. you have no qb on the roster that anyone knows anything about. so if they cut him in my eyes it'll just be yet another move by a franchise that says fuck players. Avon, I don't think anyone in here is hating. I think most of us are just stunned, dismayed, pissed, disappointed...whatever you want to cal it, that this nicca has made such stupid decisions.

Vick got the type of second chance that almost no one gets (regardless of race) and he's well on his way to fucking it up by voluntarily going to a place where trouble has a good potential of stirring up. Fuck it, if he wanted a b-day party and wanted to be out of the house, fly the crew or the family somewhere and sit on a beach and celebrate, not take that shit back to the hood so you can expose yourself.
