Don't be stupid. First of all the family is supposed to be real religious. They would look hypocritical to have a child out of wedlock, so she gets married to make it seem like that was the plan all along and as if the baby was because they were getting married and in love.

So then you chill out like that for a while, then "divorce" that way you don't seem like a harlot or whatever.

They told the dude the deal and how it was gonna go down. It wasnt no black man runnin shit, it was a family trying to protect the (fake) respectability of their daughter, because she was gonna get compared to Miss Perfect Beyonce.
