i don't think he can say that for the obvious reasons. it blows any potential operation he had wide open. i knew COs who did dirt - but it's a catch 22 - once it comes out that you were doing dirt, it's not hard to figure out who you worked with when you were a CO. So in telling the truth about what he did he'd REALLY be the snitch.
Any def Jam heads know that he showed up with an album and like half of his promo budget himself (about 500K).
To repeat - the way he closed his deal is that he had 500K of his own that he used as promo budget for his first album. this sweetened the pot for them to close the deal. he showed up with videos show - records in rotation - regional demand - - def jam just had to sign and distribute to get money.
rick is in a tough place.
