He was a pioneer who paved the way for many after him.. And was a noted mentor to many young blacks in sports journalism.
 
Dam I just seen this on my twitter.... R. I. P. To the brother. I watched him on sports reporters every Sunday morning. I loved his commentary and perspective. You truly will never know what you had till it's gone. Especially with what they brought into our lives. He'll truly be missed. This is just shocking and sad.

RIP John Saunders first brother I ever heard who liked and played Hockey.

Sorry about your family situation brother. Hold your head and stay strong hopefully you can find a piece of mind. Unfortunately death is a part of life.
