5:45 PM PT -- Cops have arrested 3 men as a result of Lil Tjay’s shooting, one of which they say was the trigger man. A release from Bergen County Prosecutor's Office states Mohamed Konate attempted to commit an armed robbery against Lil Tjay and two other men who were with the rapper.

According to cops, Konate shot Tjay multiple times and one of the rapper’s friends was shot once.


Konate has been charged with three counts of first-degree attempted murder. The two men who were with Tjay were also arrested for second-degree unlawful possession of a weapon.

il Tjay is yet to escape death following the disturbing shooting incident that almost claimed his life in an instant.

The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office shared a press statement reporting the shooting incident on Wednesday morning involving Lil Tjay. The multi-platinum hip-hop artist was rushed to the hospital after sustaining multiple gunshot wounds, and his condition was worrying enough that it caused buzzes about his purported death.

However, it has been confirmed that he is still fighting for his life - although he remains unconscious in the hospital.

A news outlet recently released an update about Lil Tjay's status, saying that the rapper would undergo a CAT scan.

Since his admission, the rapper has not woken up yet and moved no body parts except his legs. It remains unknown which parts of his body were shot, but being unconscious after sustaining gunshot wounds is unusual unless the person is hit on the head or suffered blood loss.
