Most Magic supporters have accepted D Howard may not be on the team long term.
Folks want to keep Howard but he has had years to sign an extension. The Magic have made plenty of player moves to sway Howard to stay.

If Howard goes on his way then the Magic will be free to sign a free agent or make trades on their terms instead of making a desperate trade.
Why trade Howard for a couple of mid-level players just to claim you got something in return? Let him walk with his salary and retool. The supporters won't blame the Magic for Howard walking away. The blame will be on Howard. He will be the Lebron of central Florida.
