As of now they can't be ROOTED with Android though a team is working on porting the Android OS over to this but as of now it's not supported. For this price they can do what they need to do I don't need a tablet but I had to get one of these babies at the said prices. But yeah once Android is able to be put on there I'm sure it will be beastly. The current OS is beautiful though just never got backed like droid and ios. The palm pre used webos and it was hella fast and responsive really nice so I'm sure this one would be cool.
If you uploaded some homegrown, could we watch it on there?
I dont know why some of yall are dissing WebOs... its a very good platform, just never had the right push. The card feature hands down shits on android and ios. But with lack of support and apps, its hard to see it be to its full potential. For $99... thats a fucking steal.

Unlike "other" tablets this one supports FLASH and HTML5 lol HP's support for the device is discontinued the webOS still has it's own community with support. Haters.
"IF" I can root android on this bitch, then it is worth it. Even at $99, why buy something that may get no future support?

HP Dropped the HARDWARE part . Software support will continue for WEBos. I'm sure it wont be as robust but Every last one of these is gonna be sold so There will be a community for it.
Anyways, Picked one up at Office Depot as HP is acting kinda janky with my online order. First impressions while it's charging:
- Heavy
- Very responsive
- Gorgeous screen
The crazy thing is i was JUST going to pick up a Xoom off a craigslist when I saw this post. I mean grabbing the car keys and all!! I'm sure I would have preferred the Xoom as I'm an android head but for $99 ($129 at office Depot)...Sheeeiiiitttt

---actually went to Walmart they physically had them in stock but said Walmart.com is a "different company" from Walmart so the store can't honor their own website and they won't pricematch w/o seeing a paper ad
---waited around BB for an hour to open...they then said they are not allowed to sell them even tho they have them in stock
---Officemax said they been recalled
---Officedepot basically said fuck your online reserve it's now 1st come 1st serve
---just checked Walmart.com and they had the 16gb for store-pickup even tho it was sold out this morning so I guess they are updating
