DAMN!!! DL Hughley - If Chicago Torturers Rep BLM, Dylann Roof Reps Conservatives

D.L. Hughley recently pushed back against the direction many in the conservative media have taken with the story involving a group of inner-city Chicago teens who abused a mentally challenged suburbanite. During Friday's episode of the outspoken comic's Mix 101.9 radio show, Hughley shut down the commentary of those who've used the heinous attack to blast the Black Lives Matter movement.
"There are always these leaps in logic that kind of befuddle me. Like, the four monsters that tortured and kidnapped the mentally challenged kid in Chicago, are monsters. But if they are representative of BLM, the Black Lives Matter movement, then Dylann Roof is representative of the right," Hughley said. "How much different is what Dylann Roof said at trial, after murdering people, than some of the things that you've heard on the right?"
Hughley's comments came in the middle of a rant about the direction of the country following Trump's election. After raising the recent airport shooting in Fort Lauderdale, Hughley expanded on his point, saying that such generalizing notions as the Black on Black crime narrative are being used to dismiss the grievances of African-American society as a whole, albeit it constitutes the actions of a small fraction of the Black population. Meanwhile, says Hughley, when a white American pulls off a mass shooting the media quickly assumes it to be the actions of a lone wolf. According to the actor/comedian, the nation is seeing how Trump's controversial campaign has resulted in such a dichotomy being normalized in the national discourse.
