Exactly.... but I guess if you're not looking for them.... I never heard of them... shit when I first tasted white (Ranier) cherries at Costco...... no soft cherries... all crisp and sweet as fuck... but there's only like a two month growing season and they come from Washington state...... very rarely see them in any other spots

July is the prime season for Rainier cherry harvesting in Washington and these cherries grow for only two months every year.
You can find Washington grown Rainiers at retail from mid-June until mid-July. Dark Sweets, though, you will be able to find until the end of August. Quick Fact: Developed in 1952 at Washington State University, the Rainier cherry is a cross between the Bing and the Van.Jun 8, 2018

Rainier Cherries originated in the state of Washington and today are grown all over Oregon as well as California.May 13, 2022

Mofos just don't know... like corn and tomatoes.... they been crossbred for decades.... sometimes for centuries to get ones that were bigger, drought resistant etc.... I just watched the show about Popcorn on the History channel.... The Foods That Built America... Orville Reddenbocker spent over fifty years crossbreeding, just crossbreeding his popping corn to make it the best and the biggest with less unpopped kernels... guaranteed
