I hope this trend doesn't continue. THey gotta run better than they did today with Zeke that's for sure.
Zeke was too excited and will get better as the weeks go on, but in the meantime, Morris needs to get more carries.

I said it after the Hawks game, he can't run in the box. He was tip toeing in that game & today was much the same. He's more comfortable running to the edge or cutting up...it's the regular season & the Giants took all that away. He's gotta learn how to run in the NFL.

its just terrible how he uses Dez. Why does Dez always have to go up over 2 defenders to make a catch?

put him in the slot. let him run slants, hitches, etc. for 90% of that game they just send dez on flys

As big and strong as Dez is, he should run patterns across the field. More slants, crossing patterns and in-routes and rubs. Especially when he's doubled.
Garrett's running the Coryell offense that he saw flourish in the 90's behind Aikman, Irving and Emmitt.
Big ass O-line, specialist receiver (Irvin=Dez) and a compliment receiver (Harper=Williams).
Pass first, run second, air it out kinda ball full of deep and intermediate routes.
The problem I have with the modified version of Garrett's offense is the utter lack of a running game. He loves to emphasize balance between the pass and run, but the moment things go sour with the run, he abandons it completely to air it out 50times a game.
And people wonder why Romo chokes all the time. You would too if you were forced to throw 50 times a game.
Garrett will only run from the 20 to 20 and forget how to score in the red zone, exactly like we saw today.
Behind an offensive line like that, we should be pounding that rock all day long until someone can stop it but we won't get that old NFC ball because Jerry wants everything to be a fucking highlight.
