Bread Big Homie .... One Question Did Marquez Get Robbed ?????
Bread’s Response: No, he didn’t get robbed. He lost a close tough fight again. It’s almost like he keeps losing by a milli second in an Olympic sprint. I actually feel bad for Marquez. But honestly I don’t think he won but I wouldn’t have complained if he got the decision.

PLEASE PUT THIS IN THE MAILBAG IF YOU ARE A HONEST MAN
I WANT EVERYONE TO LOOK AT TWEETS AND FB MESSAGES FROM FIGHTERS AND COACHES - guys like Andre Ward, Steve Cunningham, Billy Dib, WORLD CHAMPION BOXERS and many many others ALL HAD MARQUEZ WINNING.
Than look at anyone in the media that works for a firm that have some power in boxing - they are all favouring the decision to Pacquaio!!!
IT IS OBVIOUS THAT BOB ARUM OR SOME OTHER MONEY-MEN HAVE CORRUPTED THE BOXING MEDIA! They can make it seem like it is ok for us to move on and accept Pacquaio vs Bradley or some BS!
THE WORST BIT IS THAT YOU, STEPHEN "DA BREADMAN" EDWARDS - you are part of it! Now seriously, I KNOW you are a boxing genius, but I have just read at least 50-100 messages by other respected coachers, fighters, journalists and thousands of people that have no need to favour Marquez and they ALL have him winning. So on this occasion, I am actually going to say you are LYING (on FB saying Pacquaio won) because TOP RANK have paid BoxingTalk off, because MILLIONS of real boxing fans read boxingtalk regularly.
I am a faithful reader and believer in everything you say - but I am not a blind follower. Marquez won that. If the punch stats tell us Pacquaio landed more I may put Bob Arum on my list...no joke.
Explain what the hell is happening in the world nowadays please .

Bread’s Response: You seem like a good kid, but I’m going to treat you like my little brother who got out of line. I beat his ass, then I hug him in the morning.
To suggest Top Rank has paid me off, makes you an idiot. I routinely blast Bob Arum saying he was a big reason why Pac/May has not happened. Also tell me where do you see a Top Rank sponsorship banner on our site? Stop playing yourself with these baseless accusations. You sound like Floyd Mayweather! Actually if you look close at our site you would see a Goosen banner but we had no problem blasting the Williams/Lara decision. At boxingtalk we don’t give a shit. Check your facts before you write in blindly with anger.
More facts to research. How often do we interview Top Rank fighters on this site? Have you seen Manny on the site? What about Freddie Roach or Alex Ariza? I interviewed Bob Arum over a year ago and haven’t since. What about Tim Bradley on his recent signing with Top Rank? If what you’re suggesting is true, wouldn’t it be likely that Top Rank guys would be all over the place on our site. Where the f#*^ are they Mr. Know It All?
As for the punch stats, they do favor Manny clearly. So be upset about that too. Funny you bring up punch stats. Because those who dislike Manny and make it as though Marquez beat him in their 2 earlier fights, always claim Marquez did better on the punch stats. Now that the punch stats favor Manny, you can’t use that same argument anymore. How ironic? I’m not even a punch stat guy, but you brought it up. People will contradict themselves just to be right.
I’m glad to know, you think highly of me, but don’t write in questioning my integrity and insulting me. I think Manny won and that’s that. No one can make me think someone else won a fight. Sit your ass down and relax and stop making a fool out of yourself. It was a close dam fight that could have gone either way, there was NO ROBBERY.

Bread,
It's been a long time since I watched a fight and abjectly disagreed with what the announce crew was saying, especially Harold Lederman's assessment of Pacquio sweeping most of the early rounds. This guy can't decide what he favors. In one fight, he'll favor the clean puncher. In other fights, he'll favor all out agression. Tonight was one of those nights of the latter. Manny was aggressive, but was not the EFFECTIVE aggressor. Meanwhile Marquez actually stunned Manny several times, and was landing thudding shots to the body AND head. When you heard a loud crisp shot, it was coming from Marquez. When someone's head was getting snapped back, it was usually Manny's. What struck me as odd about tonights telecast is how silent Max Kellerman was. It seemed that he was quietly disagreeing with what was being said by Jim and Harold, but didn't want to speak up. Clearly he could see what we were all seeing, but seemingly refused to challenge Harold's misperception of Pacquiao's dominance. This is a phenomenon in group dynamics called 'groupthink'. He was uncharacteristically silent because he was going along with the 'respected' Harold Lederman's enthusiastic and certain interpretation while have internal disagreements.
When it comes to a potential bout between Manny and Floyd, I always have to go off of their last performances. Based on what saw tonight, it's pretty clear that Manny (who had his best training camp according to Roach) would not be able to hang at all. Floyd is faster than Marquez, more powerful, better coordinated, harder to hit, younger and fresher, physically stronger, and bigger. I'd be surprised if he doesn't relax his emphasis on drug testing based on the vulnerability that Marquez exposed tonight. He may be worried about getting jobbed like Marquez, but the world saw what happened and are disagreeing loudly. Even Filipino's! http://www.fightnews.com/Boxing/pacquiao-edges-marquez-again-101575 Judges are not insulated from popular sentiment, and there are likely many out there who scored the fight for Marquez. There would probably be some sort of subconcious effort on their part not to give Manny undeserved rounds, so close rounds against Mayweather would probably go to Mayweather. Especially if Mayweather makes the robbery part of the pre-fight storyline on 24/7 and at the press conferences. Can't wait to hear your take on the fight.
Stan Edwards (no relation unless you got family in Chicago)
Bread’s Response: At least you have respect Stan, thanks. I hope Floyd makes the fight now. I think he will, he needed that for his mentals. If I were him I would make a big deal out of the scoring during the pre fight. I think Floyd will fight Manny aggressively because he will be terrified of getting screwed. That way we can expect a good fight.
I’m not crazy about all of Lederman’s cards, I had this fight 115-113 for Pacquiao. I really don’t know what else to say accept sometimes people can be discredited for too high expectations.
I warned you guys that the odds were too high. I warned you guys that if a man can fight a man tooth and nail for 24 rounds then he can do it for 12 more. I also told everybody that Marquez and Pacquiao are the same dam size. Look at them. Marquez is actually slightly thicker. Now that Marquez pushed him again after people wrongly predicted a blow out , everybody screams robbery. I just don’t get it Stan. I honestly think if the masses had expected another life and death fight, then overall there wouldn’t be such outrage. I personally think Marquez is getting credit for doing better than expected, then actually winning.

Bread you kept saying this would be a very tough fight. I thought Manny would kill him, but I always take your opinion in consideration. Do you think people set Manny up to fail with unreasonable expectations?
Bread’s Response: Good question. I don’t know if Manny was set up to fail. But I do think the expectations are unreasonable. Manny had clearly outperformed Floyd against common opponents in De La Hoya, Hatton and Mosley. I think people assumed Manny would destroy Marquez now also. I even told everybody something you forgot. This historic run that Manny is on, only started after the 2nd Marquez fight. That was no coincidence.
I had some faulty logic being told to me by so called knowledgeable people. Some told me that Manny is way too big for Marquez. I just don’t get that. Manny moved up to 126 to fight Barerra then Marquez in their 1st fight. Marquez was a lifelong featherweight. They are the same height and Marquez is thicker up top. Manny has bigger legs. Look at them at the weigh in, no size advantage. I also heard the weight would be a factor. I said loudly how. Marquez just doesn’t have to cut weight with his diet. Manny doesn’t rehydrate up 10 or 15 pounds. I never understood that. I even had someone tell that Manny would definitely knock him down. I thought Manny would stop him late, but I warned ALL that this was a life and death struggle.
Sometimes a guy just knows how to fight another guy. Arizmendi knew how to fight Armstrong, Barkley to Hearns, Norton to Ali, Castillo to Mayweather and Marquez to Pacquiao. It freaking happens. I have a prediction, now we will finally see Mayweather vs PAcquiao. Finally it will happen.

I had Pacquiao winning the fight. I really don’t get the fuss. He always seems like he is doing more, like he is controlling what’s happening. He also outlanded Marquez big on the punchstats. I think Marquez just did better than expected.
Bread’s Response: I agree totally. Pacquiao has this assertive body rhythm that usually makes it look like he is doing more. He athletic gifts help him against Marquez because skill wise he has no advantage. I wished people didn’t fall into the hype of Manny supposedly dominating Marquez.
I liken this to a blind date. If someone tells you that the girl will look like*Beyonce and she turns out to look like Kelly Rowland, you may get disappointed. But*Rowland is a cutie pie. Your expectations were just too high.*I hope you guys feel me. Manny has probably lost no more than 10 rounds combined in his last 7 fights. Think about this. Diaz, De La Hoya, Hatton, Cotto, Clottey, Margarito and Mosley. It would be hard to pick out 10 rounds that he lost combined to 7 world class, ex champion, Hall of Fame type of talent. So now he loses about 5 or 6 rounds in one fight and people assume he lost. I think the expectations were just too high, but really feel that Manny has beat Marquez now 3 times.
