Exactly. Most of these mid-majors would have to go to the major schools home to play them, which in most cases is tough to do because either those teams are in invitationals (Maui, Orlando, etc.) or if they do play them, it is either mid or late in the season (Duke-St. Johns).
It is basically a lose-lose situation for the mid majors on that issue. Why get penalized for beating most of the teams in front of you compared to mediocre teams in the larger conferences, that are not as strong as they look to be?
I find it sad that only 4 at-large bids went to mid-majors this year. St Mary's, Creighton, San Diego State, and Tulsa should not be lambs to the Arizonas and Wisconsins
