Cursive instruction waned after Common Core Standards were adopted by most states in 2010, but in recent years, cursive requirements have increased.

I never understood why they took cursive out of some public schools but left it in place for others.

Majority of official documents must be signed in cursive and print.

Sad part of not teaching cursive is kids who haven't learned can't even read cursive.
 
Imagine applying for a job, then having to sign all the paperwork HR presents on your first day.

All you can do is print your name Doe Moe rather than an actual signature................

I've seen it plenty of times, a lot of people don't know how write in cursive.
