What really caught your attention was that group of good looking women that you saw walk in because there were about 3 white girls with this one attractive female, who you assumed was either Dominican or Puerto Rican (you later found out that she was East Indian). You basically wanted to get a better look at her.
Now, you took a seat at the bar and ordered a Ginger Ale and watched the game and noticed that a group of guys had found their way over to the table of the women you had noticed before. At first the girls seemed to welcome the attention, but one of the guys focused on the young lady that you were attracted to and she didn't seem interested in him.
However, the 3 or 4 beers in him made him think that he was "Adonis," and considering she was a "brown girl" she was supposed to be honored to be with him (for whatever reason it appeared that her girlfriends were not rushing to come to her rescue so she got up and walked to the bar to get away from him).
It just so happens that she ended up standing next to you (maybe she figured that if you and her appeared to be together "Adonis" might be reluctant to follow her to the bar for fear that you might intervene). Apparently, her calculated risk paid off, and to insure her safety she struck up a conversation with you and introduced herself... her name was Lavanya.
Now, you were on the clock because you knew the place was closing at 1:00 AM and it's almost midnight; in addition, you're not sure if she is eventually going to return to the table with her "so called" girlfriends. Ironically, one of them came over to check on Lavanya and she told them that she was okay and even introduced you to her (The young lady's name was Amy and she just happens to be Lavanya's roommate)
You and Lavanya continued to talk until closing time and yeah, you're food was cold, but you didn't care at this point. You made an appointment for Thursday at 6:30 PM, and gather your suit and pants with you and prepared to go for your fitting. Call it fate, but you had to deal with a train delay and you didn't make it there until about 7:40 PM. Unfortunately, the main tailor had left for the day and the only one that remained in the store was Kimaya.
