Crisis on Earth X!

The next discussion is... how do you top this for the next crossover. M

I do agree on Legion of Doom... but they are sort of doing that with Legends of Tomorrow.

Maybe blackest Night... but you would have to bring in Green Lanterns and I don’t think the movie division would allow it.

This is a good thread topic.
had this conversation at work

top this shit!

No one died? No one lost an eye? A leg? An arm? Everyone lived, unscathed and saved the day.

I despised convenient story telling. Especially with CBs.

No real consequences...Weak!

No one died... No one left unscathed.

Me thinks you didn’t watch this.

Fine let me clarify! Damn near all the Nazi/bad guys got "killed" and if you're referring to that other half of Firestorm? Please! Convenient storytelling!

Not to beat a dead horse but how tha fuck can these WB crossover events be better than Justice League?!?

I do NOT understand it.

but I WILL start with this

all the people involved

top to bottom

are fanboys

comic book fans from way back who UNDERSTAND and APPRECIATE the source material

and try their best to use this medium to its fullest

they don't ALWAYS achieve success

but at least the EFFORT is always there.

And it aint about light or dark

they stay true to the characters and try to do the best super hero soap operas on TV.

this
you can tell the people at the CW are FANS of the source material

you can tell the people at the CW are FANS of the source material

It ain't complicated

do that?

and you ALWAYS win.

I have NEVER REALLY seen it fail.

ESPECIALLY when you dealing with ICONS.

They need to do a Batman straight detective noir movie, they would a damn OSCAR in the right hands.

They need to do a Clash of the Titans level event with Wonder Woman.

And Superman needs to go to outer space like Thor so he isn't restrained.

i'll watch flash, but i can't fuck with none of the other shows especially a gay ass mr. perfect in cornrows

Not to beat a dead horse but how tha fuck can these WB crossover events be better than Justice League?!?

:rolleyes2: Assuming this is really a question lets see..

TV Series

1) 4- hours to tell a somewhat coherent story
2) 4 shows
3) 4 shows that have each had at least 3+ seasons of a minimum of 15+ episodes to establish their characters
4) Actors/Actress that work only on their respective shows and pretty much nothing else
5) Different Bureaucracy

Movie

1) 2 hours to tell a somewhat coherent story
2) Let's see about 6 hours of movies
3) 3 new characters to introduce and not step on their solo project movies
4) Actors and Actress with alot more other stuff going on outside of those immediate projects
4) Wayy different Bureaucracy

I don't know Darth you think some of the above "maybe" why?

Unless you think it's an apples to apples comparison?

I will also add willing to hear or go with opinions different than yours and allow creative freedom.

Just saw this article about guardians and the now defunct marvel creative committee

http://www.digitalspy.com/movies/gu...mittee-nearly-ruined-guardians-of-the-galaxy/

Marvel creative committee nearly ruined Guardians of the Galaxy, according to James Gunn

Luckily it doesn't exist anymore.

As part of Vanity Fair's huge article on the MCU, James Gunn stated that he clashed a lot with the committee on the first Guardians of the Galaxy, and stated that some of their suggestions would have ruined his film.

Gunn said the "group of comic-book writers and toy people" once told him he had to remove the '70s licensed soundtrack from the film.

Thankfully that didn't happen, and the soundtrack not only helped us relate to Star-Lord as a character but also provided us with bops that stuck in our head for ages, eventually being certified platinum.

The article goes on to note that Perlmutter and the rest of the committee stopped having creative control over the movies back in 2015, and now Kevin Feige reports directly to the head of Disney

I hear you but you have to give them credit for attempting and doing something that has never been done on tv before. Last years crossover... felt like each show was still it’s own show.. just with other people. This felt like a legit miniseries and a true mixture of each shows characters.

Also... I don’t see how you could expect them to go full hardcore when each show has there own independent storylines and characters. You can’t go merking main players left and right in a crossover even when you still have 12 to 13 epsiodes left on your own show. Stein was actually a surprise for me... because outside of Cold... Legends hasn’t been shown to take that type of step with a main character. Especially since they really spent the entire season working on a legit way to write him out with a Happy ending. I didn’t expect him to see a violent end and to have Jax be the one to provide the means to allow him to die.

Even on the big screen marvel movies... you rarely see the main characters go through huge changes.

This miniseries was basically exactly what I’ve been wanting to see on the big screen. In a way it outdid Defenders..

It also makes you ask the question... would Defenders have worked better if it was only 4 episodes and not 8.

He switched it up. No more braids. Flash is tied with Supergirl for the weakest show right now. Arrow and Legends are better.

You’re right and believe me Im just mess’in. From what I understand, it’s hard to do what they’ve accomplished with 4 shows to essentially turn it in one big 4 hour “movie.”

It’s TV so it works.

Also ask any director if they’d rather have 8 hours to tell a story rather than 2 hours? 8 hours let you breathe and really establish an overall story.

With the defenders I think you can get away with 4 hours because you don’t have to tell those characters individual stories that’s already been done in their respective shows. Just get to it really..4 hours in and out.

I saw this coming ever since they started talking about separating them. I wasn't expecting him to die, but I knew he wouldn't be on the show much longer.

I think he’s starring or is part of a new show.

legends puts me to sleep everytime i attempt to watch it. mr. perfect is still gay no matter what hairstyle. how do you make the smartest/most resourceful black man in the dc universe a goofy pillow biter?? naw fam i'm good.

Yeah I knew he was leaving months ago.. but I didn't know he was going to die.

He is currently going to perform on Broadway for a while.

Yeah I really think that Defenders should have been just 4 hours.

The “Crisis on Earth-X” crossover event again paid dividends for The CW, with “Legends of Tomorrow” hitting its highest ratings of the season on Tuesday night.

This week’s “Legends of Tomorrow,” which served as the conclusion of the four-part crossover, pulled in a 0.9 rating in adults 18-49 and 2.8 million viewers. That is an increase of nearly 90 percent in both measures compared to last week’s episode of the series.

Earlier on CW, “The Flash” (0.9, 2.7 million) saw less of a boost, but was still up in both measures thanks to the crossover.

On NBC, “The Voice” (1.8, 10.5 million) was up in total viewers. “This Is Us” (2.7, 10.8 million) ticked up in total viewers with its fall finale, and was the top-rated and most-watched show of the night. “Chicago Med” (1.3, 7.9 million) was up in total viewers.

On CBS, “Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer” drew a 1.8 and 8 million viewers. After a repeat of “NCIS,” the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show drew a 1.5 and 5 million viewers, hitting a new low in both measures for the special.

For Fox, “Lethal Weapon” (1.0, 5 million) was up in total viewers, while “The Mick” (0.8, 2.2 million) and “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” (0.7, 1.7 million) were both up in the demo.

ABC aired only repeats.

NBC won the night with a 1.9 and 9.7 million viewers. CBS was second with a 1.5 and 6.9 million. Fox and The CW tied for third in the demo with a 0.9. Fox was third in total viewers with 3.5 million. The CW was fourth in total viewers with 2.8 million. ABC was fifth overall with a 0.6 and 2.5 million.

And another one bites the dust...

‘Flash,’ ‘Arrow’ EP Andrew Kreisberg Fired Amid Harassment Allegations

Andrew Kreisberg has been fired from his role as executive producer on superhero dramas “The Flash,” “Arrow,” “Supergirl” and “Legends of Tomorrow” amid multiple allegations of sexual harassment.

“After a thorough investigation, Warner Bros. Television Group has terminated Andrew Kreisberg’s employment, effective immediately,” said the studio in a statement. “Greg Berlanti will assume additional responsibilities on both “The Flash,” where he will work closely with executive producer/co-showrunner Todd Helbing, and “Supergirl,” where he will work closely with executive producers/co-showrunners Robert Rovner and Jessica Queller. We remain committed to providing a safe working environment for our employees and everyone involved in our productions.”

Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter, whose Berlanti Productions produces the shows with Warner Bros., said in a statement, “Warner Bros. Television Group recently concluded its investigation into the allegations against Andrew Kreisberg. We encouraged and supported this investigation, we believe and support the individuals who came forward, and we agree with the studio’s decision. Nothing is more important to us than the safety and well-being of all our colleagues — coworkers, crew and staff alike.”

Warner Bros. Television, which produces the DC Comics-inspired dramas for the CW, suspended Kreisberg Nov. 10 from both productions and launched an investigation into multiple claims of sexual harassment on the series. Berlanti and Schechter met with the casts and crews of their series in the days after the allegations surfaced in aVariety report.

In a piece published Nov. 10 at the time of Kreisberg’s suspension, 19 women and men who worked on the Warner Bros.-Berlanti shows described being subjected to or witnessing incidents similar incidents of inappropriate touching and endemic sexual harassment. The sources spoke with Variety on condition on anonymity. Kreisberg has denied the allegations.

According to sources who either witnessed Kreisberg’s alleged behavior or were subjected to it, Kreisberg frequently touched people without their permission, asked for massages from uncomfortable female staff members, and kissed women without asking. Sources cited a constant stream of sexualized comments from Kreisberg about women’s appearances, their clothes, and their perceived desirability.

The four “Arrow”-verse series make up a significant chunk of the CW’s primetime schedule, which is smaller than other broadcast networks at 10 nights a week. “The Flash” has been the network’s highest rated show since it premiered in 2014.

Well Brainiac 5 is coming to Supergirl this Season...

So if the powers that Be allow it... I would have Brainiac be the next big event next season.

Could you imagine Brainiac with the Wave Rider.... DUDE!!!

Have him go back in time and redirect Superman's ship to the U.S.S.R and incorporate Red Son in the Cross Over... DUDE!!!

i liked it ....
