Second??? No, second to NONE. Ho money is slow money. Holy money is quick. God Pimps got the game on lock. Show me one single pimp that's stackin' paper like Creflo. Just one...

wow... either a lot of yall were abused by a pastor as a child and that aint funny at all or yall just some haters...

i already post a lengthy response

The law needs to be change and when it change it gonna be interesting because on one hand you asking for finanical record of the church regardless of the size and you going to meet some serious opposition...

remember this country was establish on separation of the church and government. I dont know it that was good thing or a bad thing that the Founders intended to be when they told the King of England to kiss their red and white and blue ass when we said we aint paying no stinking taxes cuz we want our reglion freedom. I bet King George the I is laughing his ass off saying good luck with that shyt.

However, I agree with one thing - accountability should not be an exclusive thing. If you are generating income you best better keep good record cause if you follow the IRS code then you should be straight.

I never experienced as an outsider so much hate and jealously toward a Pastor.

I really dont understand why Charles Grassley from Iowa of all place is being such a donkey's ass and not being on his boss' ass about Iraq/Iran/Aghastian/and now Pakistan? Shyt is that serious? Then the Democrat better get on the ball. But how many black preachers in Iowa?

Exactly... lawd have mercy i swear America got it priorities all fucked up

and yall going to hate on the local Atlanta preachers? It aint their fault that we got no rain! LOL

First Mike Vick now Creflo Dollar!

This witch hunting is fucked.

Senate member seeks financial records of Atlanta megachurches
New Birth, World Changers asked to provide details of spending

By CHRISTOPHER QUINN
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Published on: 11/06/07

The ranking member of the U.S. Senate Finance Committee has asked for financial records of two famous Atlanta ministries and four ministries from other states.

Sen. Charles Grassley (R-Iowa), who has a reputation of demanding financial transparency from non-profits, sent letters to Bishop Eddie Long of New Birth Missionary Baptist Church, and the Rev. Creflo Dollar and Taffi Dollar of World Changers Church International asking for records of salaries, housing allowances, credit card statements, expense accounts, cars and airplanes owned, overseas and domestic bank accounts and information about board members and their relationships to the ministries.

this ninja has 2 million in suits wonder what he drives. bet it ain't no kia and its new 04 or better. nothing but a con.

What witch hunt nigga? That crooked ass pimp need to get locked up and put underneath the prison. Fuck Creflo Dollar and his church. It's muthaphuckas like him that keep black people ignorant while he laughs all the way to the back. Fuck that nigga!

I don't hate...but do the math..

10,000 seats, 2 services every sunday. The average yearly income of your church goers is 35-55k (Atlanta's median income is 51k, but we'll call it 40k for our little calculation)

They preach "prosperity through tithes and prayer"..so overall a higher percentage pay tithes as required. Don't forget tithes is 10% of your income..

20k weekly capacity, say only 12k show up and pay tithes. With an average 40k salary, AFTER taxes, that's about 700k to the church..PER WEEK...that's over 35 million a year..TAX FREE

And we didn't start with the Books, CD's, Tapes, T-shirts in the bookstore out in the lobby, or the TV and Radio contracts, seminars and appearance fees..

Even if you GROSSLY underestimate things, these cats are sitting on BAGS of cash. And what do the people get in return..a place to worship?

Religion..one of the OLDEST hustles in the game...second only to pussy

You make a good point. At least the Senator is going after White ministries as well as Black.

Well put :hmm:.......

My thoughts on this..

I was once against mega churches but now I see whats going on and those pastors are not crooks...and I dont attend a mega church and never will.

The members of those churches CHOSE to attend. Now when you have 10K+ members of a church could you imagine the related expenses? My damn gas bill can get up to $600 so could you imagine a gas bill for a church that is set up only to seat its memebers? Creflo didnt build this huge church for 300 members. Just think about the expenses related to providing for a church of this size. One could argue that he was a little bit over board with some things but its the culture of HIS church.

He is the Pastor (CEO) of his church and he expects to be paid by his members (stockholders) for holding the chuch together..

I see your point, but that can't even begin to explain this

The letter to the Dollars mentions information that Dollar tried to raise $1 million from other ministers to give to Kenneth and Gloria Copeland for a celebration of their 40th year of ministry, and that Dollar's ministries gave more than $500,000.

Even if I'm a stockholder and receiving my spiritual and physical dividends, so to say, I'm not going to approve a $1 million gift to a CEO & Chairman at a different company simply because it's their flippin wedding anniversary.

Every time I get ready to defend pastorial staff, megachurches, etc., they give me a reason not to make a fool of myself vouching for their Bentley's & helicopters.

I feel you on that but again, these members know whats going on and if they feel like its appropriate for their pastor (CEO) to purchase a Bentley because he has been good to them, why not? If they had a problem with it they would leave the church and with it take their money which would then make Creflo broke. So again its their choice. IF the people who are paying his salary are good with the way its spent why should we even give a fuck? Its their money being spent, not my tax dollars.

Show me a Preacher who ain't a crook and i'll show you a Dog that speaks 5 human languages. Why the fuck would god need human money? Oh wait, to "Upkeep the premises". The fuck outta here nigga.

I Don't Know You Really Can't Judge Someone Without Knowing All The Real Facts.

Speaking of Big-Time Pastors, Bishop Jakes is on G. Garvin's cooking show right now. I know he eatin' good.
Guess he has his financial shyt in order.

That article points out that "Mr. Dollar, 41, a former college football player, started World Changers Church in Atlanta in an elementary school cafeteria in 1986".

If true, that's evidence of the power of having a belief (faith) in a definite purpose (an idea), backed with persistence that knows no limit short of death...

Whether it's for good or bad, what we set our minds to, it's going to manifest eventually -- and grow. Just like the American tax code!

I will assume you are speaking to me, so I'll respond..

I never said GOD needed money and for me to think that would be insane..

But as far as the Pastor needing money to upkeep the premises, yes thats valid. I dont know about you but I like to live under a roof and if you all for that caveman living how about you give up your house/apartment and go live in the woods.. My point is no one holds service for 10K+ people outside on the lawn. Remember that the members paid for that upkeep, if they didnt they would still be in a gym somewhere.

Explain to me how these pastors are crooks? If you give me $1,000 bucks and are realistic in your expectations on the return of the money, be it worship or help in your time of need whats the real issue? I didnt run up in your house and steal the money and Im not running a scam telling you that I will give you a financial return on your investment. All I promise you is a good sermon and a place to worship and other people with your same interest.

If you want to point fingers look at the members of these churches.

Creflo Dollar, a prime example of "Stealing in the name of the Lord". Fuck his thieving ass.

If they drive Maybach's and don't pay taxes and I am self-employed and pay damn near 30% of my income in taxes, I AM NOT A MEMBER AND THEY ARE TAKING MY MONEY.

These preachers can do what they want, hell, their followers can even come out of pocket and pay the taxes for them, but THEY SHOULD PAY TAXES, every dime they DON'T pay comes out of MY pocket. Cats are against healthcare for kids, but will buy Creflo Dollar a fuckin' HELICOPTER. So do what you want, say what you want, build as big as you want, but there is NO EARTHLY LOGICAL REASON why a church should be a non-profit.

Creflo was just on CNN today, taking questions from Don lemon and some other chic.

Can sombody tell me why Creflo's church would buy him a Rolls Royce? WTF, and most of his members taking the bus. These ministers are collecting too much money and make zero, I repeat ZERO IMPACT IN THE HOOD.

Maybe this investigation of all these prosparity evangelists will incentivise them to finally make an real impact.

C/S TO THE LAST SENTENCE

REMEMBER WHEN YOU WERE YOUNGER ( LET'S SAY 20 - 30 YEARS AGO )
YOU WENT TO SUNDAY SCHOOL AND THE MAJORITY OF THE PASTORS BE IT AT YOUR CHURCH OR OTHERS LIVED IN THE SAME BUILDING AS THE CHURCH OR THE NEIGHBORHOOD THEY PREACHED IN, AND DROVE A FUCKED UP CAR. ON THE REGULAR. THERE WAS AFTER SCHOOL FOR THE KIDS. FREE LUNCH IN THE SUMMER. PLAY STREET LIKE A MOTHER ALL SUMMER LONG WITH THE HYDRANT RUNNING. COOK OUTS AND BAKE SALES TO HELP OUT AND SO ON.
A LOT OF THESE CHURCHES NOW OWN SO MUCH REAL ESTATE IN THE NAME OF THE CHURCH IT IS NOT FUNNY. JETS, TOUR BUSES, BENTLY, BENZEZ, HOMES, STADIUM SIZE CHURCHES, JEWELRY ( AND NOT THAT LUCK CHARM OR SKITTLE SHIT THESE RAPPERS WEAR ) I DON'T KNOW IF I'M LOOKING AT AN AUTHENTIC PASTOR OR AN ACTOR/ENTERTAINER OR SPORTS FIGURE. AND TAX FREE TO BOOT. THE DAY OF THE STREET HUSTLE IS OVER. AND LET'S NOT TALK ABOUT MOTIVATIONAL SPEAKERS. SAME SHIT. WHY DO I NEED TO PAY SOMEONE TO TELL ME HOW FUCKED UP MY LIFE IS AND WHAT I NEED TO MAKE IT STRAIGHT. YOU DO NOT NEED A CHURCH TO HAVE A RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD. ( NOT KNOCKING ANYONE WHO GOES ) BUT IF YOU ARE NOT DOING ANYTHING BUT TALKING SHIT REAL LOUD OR REAL LOW OR READING ME SHIT I CAN READ TO MYSELF, OR HELPING THE COMMUNITY YOUR CHURCH IS IN.................:smh:
IT'S THE SAME AS WHEN YOU BEING A BLACK MAN OR WOMAN GET YOU A BUSINESS STARTED, THE FIRST THING OUT A MOTHER FUCKER'S MOUTH IS
" CAN YOU GIVE ME A DEAL BROOOOOOOOOTHER".
BUT WILL GLADLY GO TO THE OTHER MAN'S STORE AND PAY EXACTLY WHAT THE PRICE TAG SAYS.

ONE LOVE TO ALL
DON'T BE FOOLED NOT ONLY BY THE WHITE MAN
BUT ALSO YOUR OWN BROTHER MAN. WE CAN SOMETIMES BE OUR OWN WORST ENEMY

Can I just walk up in Creflo church on Sunday and sit in the back? I'ma go there and pray he go to prison. The whole service. Just go in there and kneel down and pray harder than a mufucka. I'm talkin head noddin, forehead sweatin prayer.

The Government is not going after these guys because they're Black, it's because they appear to be running a business under the guise of a church in order to duck taxes. All the Gov't wants to do is make sure that they aren't being cheated out of their money by these guys. And if they are, the real pimps are going to have to show the little pimps who's really the boss.

You silly.

I don't care that preachers make money. I believe that all should have access to wealth if they obtain it through legitimate means and without duping the masses.

But I don't believe another HUMAN has the right to tell me that because I'm wearing 300 dollar shoes, I should give him money. I would give a church money. If it goes to paying for an after school program for kids, or provide single mothers/fathers down payments to buy their first home, or if it helped AIDS research. But what church you know even has programs such as these? A true disciple sacrifices self and lives humbly, as Jesus did. He takes joy in the wealth and good health of all of his patrons. What does a preacher need a Maybach for? EVEN TOP LEVEL CEO's don't drive in a company paid for Rolls-Royce.

There is a whole lot of hate for Creflo. People talking bout they gonna pray for him to go to jail. How many of you have actually been to jail? Creflo is a (hu)man just like any of us. You can't knock the hustle whether it be a hustle or not. How many of you all go to church and give tithes? Where does your money go? You don't give money hoping to receive a blessing, you give expecting a blessing. Its all in your faith.
If you don't like what Creflo does with the money don't go to his church. Whether he is false or not is up to you to accept his message that he is preaching. You can always start your own church.
