I think this movie was suppose to be marketed to a non-Asian audience.

From the trailer, it looks like it is suppose to shoot down the regular stereotypes of how Asians are depicted in American cinema.

If this was a true Asian movie for a Asian audience, the characters would be speaking whatever Asian language they speak.

Netflix has some decent Korean movies on there from action, thrillers and horror.

You know there are millions of Asian Americans that speak English right? Asians that have been here for 4 and 5 generations that don’t know shit about their ancestors language
 
I might check out a romantic flick about a brotha and Asian woman hooking up overseas on their turf.;) Afrika and Asia unite.

I believe the movie was marketed towards the whole Asian American community. If they would have been speaking the "whatever Asian language they speak" they would have cut off a big share of the market that they were trying to reach fam.
